Woeful Swansea collapse again in the second half at Nottingham Forest 1st May 2022 16:58
If the first half gave the two thousand travelling swans some hope the second half was a huge disappointment as Swansea City collapsed in another second half display that Russell Martin described as embarrassing. 0

You're right.

And woeful Martinball was humiliated yet again by the winning Cooperball brand of effectiveness and efficiency in the right places at the right times.

Some keyboard supporters are content with bottom tiered mediocrity. Underachievers, clearly. Fortunately the vast majority of fans and key stakeholders expect and demand so much more.

Winter is an underachiever, and has been setting the bar far too low for our stakeholders - owners and fans. He's appointed an underachiever and has unsurprisingly underachieved.

So when keyboard supporters say we should all get behind the manager......says it all, in so many ways.

Current coach however has had a quite brilliant campaign .
He is manipulating his CV in preparation for his exit.

He will blame lack of support ,for sure.

Mmm
Saw the other side of Cooper we all knew was there tonight.
The one who bottles the big games.
As we saw two years running when he was our manager.
Where was the Forest I witnessed in person on Saturday?
Cooper's nerves went.
Plus the lack of a substitute until it was too late tonight, as we witnessed many times in our two years under Cooper

Come on now what are you going on about it was more or less a final to get into the Prem they lost an away game by a single goal to a strong highly motivated team, even if they fail in the play offs he has still taken them from the bottom of the table without any preseason which Rm always likes to tell us on his excuse days, we meanwhile we are languishing firmly in the bottom half of the table with 17 defeats and seventy yes seventy goals conceded but in the eyes of the deluded that is fine because they believe we are now playing the Swansea way.

We were solid ,maybe unspectacular before our current coach.
We did not however literally give away ,I would suggest at least 15 points ,by being stuck on the coach s mantra . We have not been that humiliated in many seasons .
It is this that worries me. Both Sumbler site and this seemingly satisfied and seeing progress .
Indeed it really is about opinion but great keeper is what Fisher is not and never will be .

We will see very soon in the season season just which viewpoint is right as any now is just conjecture .

Second-half?

If we went into half-time only 4-0 down, it would have been fortunate. They relentlessly attacked our penalty area and achieved constant shooting opportunities throughout the 90 minutes. They just happened to convert a higher percentage of their chances in the second half. The quality of our defending neither collapsed nor improved after the break.

I trust in the repeat fixture next season, when we put 5 past them without reply, you will lavish as much praise on Swans as you pour scorn on them now ?

Not sure why you down voted me Jasper ?
The only time DYSS appears is to criticise.
No matter who the manager or how well we are doing.
A performance like Saturday and he is all over it like a rash, if we had won he would be nowhere to be seen.
Surely you don't condone that type of unbalanced posting ?

Whinging about other posters not being proper enough fans to have an opinion is worth a downvote in my book. Just put him on ignore if his contributions offend you.

He's often negative and critical but those criticisms are often accurate. Like the post you quoted. You don't even disagree, which is why you attack him and some shady agenda you're convinced he has rather than talk about the football.

"A performance like Saturday and he's all over it like a rash"

I've submitted two posts on this forum since the final whistle. This will be my third.

Here's why I think we defended poorly all game - not just the second half.

Nottingham Forest attempted 27 shots from just 30% possession.

Perhaps this will aid you in understanding just how truly incredible that is - it means Nottingham Forest managed to achieve a shot against us for every sixty seconds they had the ball.

Not even when a non league team plays against one of the Top 6 do you see that level of utter domination . It's entirely down to the system employed.

I was there on Saturday and witnessed it myself.
There is no defending what happened on Saturday.
However my point is that, though your posts maybe infrequent, they always seem to appear after a poor performance or result.
Surely there should be a balance and you should praise them when they are successful?
I may be wrong, but I can't recall seen any positive posts praising the team, under Martin or any other manager ?

My point which I have now posted to him, is that whilst his view on the game is accurate ( it was there for all to see ), there have been other occasions when we have done well and I do not recall him posting.
As we both know he has been posting for years, yet never differs.
I haven't said he isn't a proper fan, whatever that may be, although to choose a username of an ex Man Utd player is unusual for a Swans fan ?

I've told everyone previously that dyss is NOT a swans fan and i know that for a fact.

He only ever comes onto this forum when we have lost to offer his 'opinion' never when we win but some people stick up for him when PROPER jacks read his posts and rightly get annoyed and give him stick he rightly deserves yet they are the ones getting lambasted.

Odd very odd and truly annoying.

To be fair, he's not the only one who only appears when we lose. Its his thing and always has been, he also posts under a different username, though very rarely these days. If you don't want to see his posts or feel like biting, ignore is your friend. When you support your club, its easy to bite as emotions can run high, which is kind of the point of football. Most of his stuff is accurate, but there is very little balance as he disappears when we win, but that's the whole point, so don't try and engage or reason, because that's not why he posts.

Unfortunately I do not believe the performance against Nottingham Forest was the culmination of Russell Martin's efforts.

The only change in his approach since joining saw us abandon trying to play triangles around opposition strikers during open play in our penalty area. Fisher is fortunate to have joined long after that nonsense was abandoned.

We're still conceding a colossal amount of chances each week.

We're still relying on players abandoning the preferred style every 10 minutes or so to create a chance, in-between the 10 minutes of aimless possession in the centre of the pitch.

He's still telling the media we dominated games because we had more of the ball, despite the opposition attempting sometimes two, three or even four times as many attacks and achieving equally higher shots on goal than us.

Whilst it is satisfying to see his ego be exposed every week through being comprehensively out thought by opposition coaches and analysts, I do wish it wasn't at our expense.

Let's hope we put aside enough money from player sales this Summer to be able to pay him and the remaining staff who haven't abandoned him off.

I think you might have misinterpreted my comments.
The way we played was absolutely the culmination of his efforts that have seen young players messed about and seasoned pros treated horrendously.BUT,incredibly the super fans think this is ok.

Finally, not sure but there are no rules a to when or how often anyone has to post on here.

You can post if you like or dislike preformances or even players and coaches.

Right or wrong

If someone says, you are entitled to your opinion, then respect that which you have posted and do so. It aint hard .

Post of the season, right there.

This is precisely how the majority of proper fans feel about the debacle, the humiliation and the failure of this season of 'transishun' under the fraud of a manager with a big mouth.

As per the OP, it's been 'woeful' and embarrassing, cringeworthy. at times - on and off the pitch.

There's more insight in that one quality post than the bullying flock could ever collectively muster.  They know who they are.  They've had a more embarrassing season than their failed messiah.

Let's see how Jake delivers phase 2............

When you read Silverstein and exciting engaging football in the same sentence then you know every single "positive"post on here is abject tosh.

We have gone backwards at a rate of knots.

We are starting from a point where the latest accounts show a £4 million loss.
We are in the fortunate positions to have three brilliant players, of which selling one should give us enough money to be solvent, plus reinvest in the market for a few low price gems.
This is the reality.
I would rather that reality than splash out money ( or borrow even), only to find ourselves unsuccessful and in greater debt.
Any attempt for promotion, under Martin or any other manager has to be done using the financially sustainable model.
This would be the same under almost any owners.
The likelihood of getting a rich owner to bankroll us to the EPL is very slim.
