Swansea City v Queens Park Rangers : THE THREAD 21/22 AFTERMATH 17:56 - May 4 with 8320 views | KeithHaynes | Nowhere to hide for this one, it’s the last game of the season where stories of no shows won’t cut it. Here is a testicled eyed view ( I loved that ) of the final game of the season. Runners will be there no doubt. I had to do this thread as NL is still laughing after reading Twitter. The Ref really is Steve Martin So far this season, he has taken charge of 33 matches handing out 98 yellow cards and four reds. This weekend, he will be assisted by James Wilson and Nicholas Barnard. James Oldham will be the fourth official. Steve pictured above wears glasses on his days off. Swansea City v Queens Park Rangers : THE THREAD 21/22 Saturday UPDATE on 13:30 - May 7 with 1048 views | AndyCole | QPR reserves and youngsters outplaying Martinball in their better version of a similar(ish) brand of proper keep-ball in the right places, with a positive intent. QPR - 1 win in 9, 3 in 17 and making us look like a League 1 team. Martinball = toss around with it across the backline, get the fans' bums all squeaky and after all that unnecessary risk get the keeper to hoof it 50yds into nowhere. Embarrassing. Regressing. Fortunately for the clappers, OHL isn't watching.

They have half their side out. Could only put out 5 subs too, 2 of which are keepers. I’m at the apathy stage now. We should really sneak the win as they tire and nothing on the bench, but I don’t see how anyone can be going into next season thinking “we have now transitioned” - which of course we should all be thinking right now pretty much seeing the final product tactically.

A clue to martinball - the goals are at the other end of the pitch if we want to score.

Swansea City v Queens Park Rangers : THE THREAD 21/22 Saturday UPDATE on 12:34 - May 7 by Dr_Parnassus | Pato not in starting line up again. 4th game running. Wonder why…. |
By all accounts he's had a wobble, and Martin threw his toys out. Martin cuts his nose off to despite his ego. And now, belatedly Pato gets to shine, Bergkamp-esque as per, hopefully.

Ogbeta as well, perfect game in which to go both Burns and Ogbeta a runout, although I wouldn't be surprised to see them both leave this summer.

Why aren't forward moves practised and rehearsed to death , which involves Obafemi moving around looking for space and balls being played up just in front of him, no guile or commitment at all.

Swansea City v Queens Park Rangers : THE THREAD 21/22 Saturday UPDATE on 14:18 - May 7 with 802 views | Dr_Parnassus | Time for some honesty now I think, folks. No more excuses and no more pretending. This was supposed to be the last of the transition games, it was not a dead rubber for us because we weren’t apparently looking at league finish. This game against QPR should have just as much importance for us as the first game against Blackburn. Vital minutes to hone our ‘craft’, this should have been the crowning game to show what the last 45 games has been for… Yet we are woeful. If it wasn’t for that patch where we could put a run together because pretty much everyone we played for a period of 5 weeks was a bottom club, I dread to think where we would have finished. It’s like anyone who has been brave enough to say it how it is has been swimming upstream and against the strong current of nonsense all season. The real discussions need to be had now, not the whole “vision”, “process” and “time” rubbish. Only 3 teams finish this season without registering a win in the last 6 games. Us, Brum and bottom of the league Barnsley. [Post edited 7 May 2022 14:34]

Swansea City v Queens Park Rangers : THE THREAD 21/22 Saturday UPDATE on 14:18 - May 7 with 800 views | AndyCole | With all the riches of talent at Martin's disposal, the luxury of introducing in the 60th minute top level players like Pato and the pedigree of Ntcham - we get schooled by QPR reserves, in so many ways. And worse than that - Martinball now looks like a pauper's version of hoofball, rubbing salt into the wounds of proper fans.
