So far this season, he has taken charge of 33 matches handing out 98 yellow cards and four reds. This weekend, he will be assisted by James Wilson and Nicholas Barnard. James Oldham will be the fourth official. Steve pictured above wears glasses on his days off.

Well that was boring and poor.
Was a typical end of season match but that was not good enough from some out there today!
Interesting to know and see if the 2 offsides were called correctly, Wolf goal and the eventual winner, offside or not?
I go into the summer with a clear idea if what is needed, speed out wide, a centre half or 2 and a creative 10.
That no 10 was a cracking little player for QPR, going to miss it for the next few months but its another season chalked off.
I thought it would be a struggle this season and even thought we might have got dragged into a relegation battle, latter didn't really happen so can grumble too much. Think the picture became clearer as the season went in as to what is needed and today's game really highlighted the whole season in 90mins AND summed up with that Patterson shot towards the end of the game 🤦â€â™‚ï¸

This ridiculous idea of Fisher coming out to the edge and past his penalty area to pass the ball around is exactly that Fg Ridiculous.
I keep saying it, but I'll say it again Martin as got Pep's idea's around the way he wants the team to play, but the players at his disposal ain't got the quality, ability, guile call it what you will, to play that way, its a fantasy concept all in Martins head and it needs shaking out of him. ASAP. |
I pointed that out a few weeks ago , fine once or twice but to continue it even when the need to get forward quicker , the times it happened then hitting the ball long with no discernible advantage ( pulling their midfield / defenders out of position) seemed a total waste of time , put us under pressure and gave them opportunities other wise they wouldn't have had . |  |

It sounds from your post as though you think Martin's masterplan is a good one, and he has the managerial skills to carry it out, but is lacking the players to achieve it at the moment? Fair? |
It's a plan that asks a lot more of players and certainly is achievable.
Its clear that we over pass on occasions but that's due to the lack of movement from midfield/attack, a few tweaks and it can explode for the better for sure.
Ultimately its down to having players who can play it but Martin needs to get those right players in, he gets the right players in coupled with the massive improvement in passing and accepting passes we have seen this season AND I believe the rocket can launch.
It might need ala Sousa to Rodgers where another manager takes it on, maybe Martin can't take it any further but I have always been happy for him to implement his style this season, said it before and will say it again, if come October/November and we are struggling then it might be time to change, saying that, I don't expect to see us top 8 next season as nice it would be.......realistically I hope for a solid mid table season with the odd push on and odd setback, saying that mind, I shall see what the summer brings.
I just try to be understanding of the situation and look at it as sensible as I can.....we have a lot of talent in the team but there are weakness in there aswell, we can't forget that the better players we have are also very young and are still learning.

Nothing wrong with playing out from the back or playing back is it has a purpose but yet again the midfield stood in line across the pitch. Keeper (whose distribution must be the worst of any we have had) and backs had no where to go. When the ball was played forward there was rarely anyone to meet it or challenge for it.

It's far worse than that Cadleigh (good to see the new influx of proper, insightful fans, speaking out against the grain of sheeple).
Martin shouldn't have needed the counsel you suggest. If it had been proffered, Martin will absolutely have rejected it, such is his narrow minded arrogance of all things brand Martin.
Proper fans here have a duty to call out this chancer for who he is:
- lords it up in Sell-out Martin Morgan's mansion, way down by the sea overlooking our iconic Three Cliffs Bay
- bins Tatey
- binned Piroe, unceremoniously at the outset, strips him of the #9 jersey. Fact, from the horse's mouth
- gives the #9 jersey to Oba, then bins him
- tells Oba he 'doesn't run enough'. Fact, from the horse's mouth
- gets Allen binned (thru desperate Winter)

Christy was awful today, didnt help CamCon at all had a dreadful first 20 . Add into that Downes and Piroe having their worst games for us didnt help. Is there a reason we dont go into Wolf or Chrsity early form open play, it seems we only hit them when our GK has no options which was a lot today, people were shouting around me for players to move it was that static.

Christie has been disappointing in probably most of the last 10 games, not sure he's the answer, but we are where we are so he's probably the best we can get in our price range, he's a decent player, but he hasn't really been at the races lately. [Post edited 7 May 2022 18:38]
