Pilfering is theft . Its not the companies that suffer but the employees. It would take too long to explain it to you.
Stealing from the rich is ok then?
If I am on my ass, no word of a lie, I would have no hesitation to hit some of the bigger supermarkets for 6 with regards to shoplifting. Is it wrong, of course it is, but needs must.
In fact if I was ever in the position of no food, and and also no money, I would just fill the trolley up, and walk out of the store.

There’s a variety of examples of theft though, deception is a form of theft, a good example of this would be deceiving somebody to buy a meal for you when you had no intention of paying for it.

Wrong as usual, I am not banned, in fact I'm not even going to bother explaining. It may be classified as stealing, but it is also a money saving tip!, Hence my question if items aren't scanned correctly, would it be stealing?
Yes if you do it willfully, and you are a pariah on the other site.
You always used to post in the middle of the night, and delete it the following morning, and then blame the booze, you even used to brag about it
You give it out, you take it back it`s all part of the game

Well the example I want to give is 1983, Is it theft? And if it is, how could they prove it?
Even an employee of Tesco on the tills, I would guess they do mess up now and again.
Do we want to go down that route? Of course we don't.
But for me if things get bad, I am filling the trolley up to the brim, and just walking out of the store.
No problemo. :)

Look at Vic meldrew by here, it's only a money saving tip, for crying out loud.. Times are about to get really hard, it may be slightly dishonest so what? Couple of bags of salad, Tesco have enough money.
Slightly dishonest? No, it's a crime and the more theft there is from shops the more they raise their prices.
it's not a money saving tip, it's advising people to steal. If you get caught and end up in court it'll cost you a lot more than the price of 2 bags of salad too.
What is sad is how you pass judgement on those who shop in Asda which is lacking in self awareness.

I use Aldi and Lidl too, what does that make me?
I never passed judgment on Asda really, I was just saying if you were that way inclined, it would be a lot easier, to rob from asda, than Tesco,

Some of these places have trolleys that have wheels that lock if the goods haven’t been paid for. They’re very effective and hilarious when someone tries to run out with a trolley only for it to stop dead.

Try Asda about 3.30 on a Sunday for reductions before they go out of date or indeed any evening 30 mins before closing.

Really? That can't be right, not that I'm contemplating running out with a trolley of stuff anytime soon, but I can't see any trolleys locking up for shoplifters, maybe alarms going, but no way are trolley wheels going to lock.

Yes, but you won't end up in court Cat, the light materials do not weigh, Could you imagine ending up in court for not scanning items correctly? It is never going to happen..
I suppose one could call it a perk, for doing their job for them.

Pathetic, you must be be really proud of yourself.
I'm waiting for I'm only joshing
I'm not joshing I'm an opportunist thief I would never steal from my fellow man but a big organisation like Tesco who have had 10's of thousands of pounds off me over the years and if I do them out of a couple of bob now and then yeah feck um. And don't start me on my dodgy fire stick that saves me £100's of pounds over the year
