Depends completely on the context and whether it is reasonable that the person would’ve been caused harassment, alarm and distress, so a drunk bloke, screaming ‘you f… sheep sh….’ In your face, almost certainly, racially aggravated offence, (be it a section public order or even a Common assault (all you need is to apprehend immediate unlawful violence),
Crowd chanting that at the single darts player, probably a racially aggravated s5 public order
English fans at a match, during the game, singing it at the swans fans, who reply something similar about England, absolutely not.
What term should i have used in thr context of this debate?
As I understand it the term used is meant to be black ?Although a more suitable term would be a person from Barbados, Gambia or Birmingham etc , depending where they come from ? After all many of us describe ourselves as from a certain town or city, even though we may have been born in a totally different place ?

Welsh fans do not sing something similar. They just do not. There is no chant from Welsh fans that depict specifically English fans are 'sub human'. Certain town yes but not English.
Distance form the disorder is not a defence. we now have TV footage and lip readers to back up players claims. Being in crowd does not protect you.. The phrase 'black C###'. was used here apparently to Raheem Stirling.

I’m just giving you the legal perspective. That’s not really a debate, it’s what the law is. We can go back and forth re the moral part, but please trust me about the law.

It should never be used to describe someone's race ? I have seen far to many "caucasian" people who due to spending far too much time on sunbeds or constantly in hot countries sunbathing whose could therefore be described as dark skinned. So are they no longer caucasian/white ?

Not sure why you answered yourself, but it is more a thread on tribalism. The English drunken thugs v the Welsh drunken thugs. Whether any of those that took part are white, black, Asian, or whatever, the only important point is what they identify themselves as ( I.e English or Welsh ) Either way they let their countries down

And then that leads us to what is “ reasonable” What is reasonable is surely a subjective matter.
