Totally agree sometimes you have got to take a bit of ownership that place is a rat hole I have been there a few times in my previous life, I seen a fight with a small group of Rangers & Celtic fans and it went on forever and people just carried on going about their business its full of drug dealers, ladies of the night, lookie lookie thieves and exactly all the kind of people fighting in that video. That video is just another night but just different people fighting. Wales played at 10am what time is that video? As soon as witching hour comes that whole area changes rapidly and time to move on to a nice little bar not far from your digs.

Not like you to disagree, so I'll stick to my opinion and you can keep your's. Its never been known ever before for football fans to be abusive has it, it must be a new thing. And its nothing at all like mentioning bananas to dark skinned people, dear me perspective isn't in your vocabulary is it. Dear me.

| Tenerife on 10:40 - Nov 27 by controversial_jack | I have to disagree. Although, we are used to it by now, I Think it's a really bad insult, equating someone with bestiality. We make a joke of it, I do, but it really gets to me, although I don't show it.I have heard it in pubs and bars many times. If it was done to me personally, i'm not sure my reaction would be particularly restrained |
I''' ask you the same question I've asked others, with no reply. Swansea fans calling Bristol, 'thick farmers, who can't read or write', is that racist ?

| Tenerife on 15:02 - Nov 26 by ReslovenSwan1 | If the assembled Welsh fans were subjected to filthy racially aggravated disorderly conduct (sheep themed slurs) they were entitled to act in 'self defence in my opinion. No one should be subjected to lurid abuse based on race or ethnicity especially on a foreign land . I await further details. I have brought to the attention of this board that we as a nation have nowhere to hide in the face of this abuse. Gerwyn Price was thrown to the lions and took on his broad shoulders with his young family by his side. Top man. I join him in calling the English far right drunken thugs out. I have seen it close up and personal. I want the south Wales constabulary and Swansea city FC to put action behind their well worded PR "zero tolerance " spin. I call on ITV BBC and the wokists like Mr Lineker to call a halt to this chanting and incriminatory behaviour and face it head on. Sky bowed down to the English racists drunks in the darts by turning down the volume and 'apologising to the viewers for any bad language'. They were not so generous to the 'Hungarian ultras'. As I have advised this issue is slowly getting out of hand and the authorities need to act. I expect to be called racist by by apologists. My target is far right drunken English thugs not the main English populace who I have a lot of time for. |
Yeah that’s what happened. The English shouted sheep shaggers at them. Enough to cause a war that. Have you petitioned the UNHCR over this? Jews had 6 million people destroyed in WW2 whilst Palestinians, Arabs, Indians and Pakistanis have all had it far worse than the Welsh. Your victim card mindset is pretty sad to be honest.

| Tenerife on 20:34 - Nov 26 by Sirjohnalot | Ok Germany were obsessed with genetics and wanted the Ayran race to be pure. Welsh or any Nationalism is very dangerous as soon as we start questioning whether someone is ‘purely Welsh’ i get concerned. The abuse of the darts player was appalling and racist. I agree with that but you still haven’t answered whether you think the Swansea fans singing ‘I can’t read and I can’t write’ etc to the Bristol fans is racist ? Exactly the same as the sheep songs. You can’t say that people who disagree with you lack backbone, they just have a different perception. I deal everyday with real racism and its effects. I’be said many times I cannot equate a bunch of idiotic people English fans chanting about sheep and stupid Welsh fans chanting about tractors being the same as racist abuse to black players. There’s no comparison. |
He’s the Welsh Adolf hitler in waiting. His book is due out soon - it’s called “I’m camp”.

Sorry i did not get back to you. The Bristol chants and insults are not racist as they are regional insults. All English are not rural yokels chewing straw. We have Welsh communities like this. My own heritage in fact. If I was called this I would laugh and enjoy the banter. They are not branded thickos because of their race or ethnicity. Simply lifestyle and circumstances. When John Terry reportedly abused Anton Ferdinand he did not call him a "so and so" he called him a "Black so and so". This was the racial angle and takes it from sledging to a different level which caused a huge controversy and cost Terry his captaincy of England and probably some managers jobs. The 'sheep so and so' chants are specifically Welsh not Swansea or Cardiff but targeted at all Welsh teams including Wrexham and the national team. Welsh is a recognised European ethnic group lie Kurds and Berbers. The 'pure bred' argument is a false flag point. No one on my side of the debate have any truck with this concept. Gwyn and OHL have focused on this projecting my objection at being insulted on the basis of ethnicity as a ultra nationalist whining. Putin has done the same. Ukrainians are also far right nationalists if they promote their own culture. "We are all Slavs just surrender". Gwyn and OHL tell us we are not different or even inferior. This is obviously a massive level of seriousness difference. Happily for us the majority of English are very reasonable people. Racism is ascribing fake negative traits to the English people as a whole. Welsh fans do not do this. They are not accused of bestially, being deviant, being crooked with money , being untrustworthy being dirty. Remember it must relate to being English. "English always cheating" is mildly racist but in football cheating an art form. I condemn race hate in any case. I have lampooned the Welsh Wall and the east Stand radicals for engaging in this filth. The club and FAW are turning a blind eye and speaking with a forked tongue. Zero tolerance oh really.? Virtue signalling?. Wear a ribbon and hope for the best?. No ditch the ribbons and convene a meeting with Rt Hon Alun Michael.

Forget about the legalities of race etc. I want to make sure I have this right.. You think it is perfectly fine for Swansea fans to sing 'I can't read and I can't write but that don't really matter, cos I've got 35 acres of land and I can drive a tractor' (or words to that effect) but if Bristol respond with 'sheep shaggers' that's terrible and racist ? One is implying that they are stereotypical, illiterate farmers and the other that we shag sheep. Neither sets of supporters believe it, it is childish, pathetic chanting (which neither side should do) but, surely (legalities aside) there is no difference ?

Being a bit dim is a legitimate form of humour. The comparison of city slickers and rural folk is funny. If I was abused like l that would take it in and smile. We saw this with the dim fellow in "some mothers do av em" with the fellow with the beret Michael Crawford. Also the straw chewing Worsels. There was a west country comedian who played n this theme who passed recently. Something people can share with the wife and kids. We do no accuse them of deviancy with their farm animal which is a whole different ball game. It is XXX porn and racist because it is specifically targeted the Welsh. I belong to a group that do not find it funny at all. We are the only legitimate target left for the morons who like this filth. I call it out and make no excuses for the perpetrators. Gerwyn got it because Welsh fans have engaged in it and encouraged this ethnic abuse. What do you think 'zero tolerance' means? It does not mean lurid porno slurs against Welsh people for sure. if you want some latitude given to people who call all Welsh people deviants then say so. But do not be a hypocrite. Sheep taunts and monkey taunts are the same. African are a race and Welsh are a recognised ethic group. Yesterday you saying history is not relevant. I want consistency and fairness.

You'd have to catch one first, closest I've ever come to a sheep was when I rode up over the brim of the road going over the route from Story Arms to Penderyn and I swear it was the biggest Sheep I'd ever seen standing in the middle of the road, I just managed to slip around the back end and got clear, I did soil my pants though, I thought my time had come, never rode across there at speed again, crawled the rest of the way home, garaged the bike went in house helmet off and sat on the chair with it all still going through my head. Mrs said whats happened, I replied nothing luckily

It amazes me how far people will go not to take offense. Black people and Asians have 'zero tolerance'. Welsh people do not have " zero tolerance" in fact they have high tolerance of ethnic slurs. The club have gone for the "zero tolerance" approach. Have they really? We will find out. They do not tolerate "an appropriate and allowable level of racism in keeping with Welsh football cultural traditions". That would be laughable but accurate.
