65%+ possession. 600+ passes. Similar amount of shots as the opposition. Lose by a goal or two.
Pass the ball painfully slowly until we make a mistake that they pounce on. Last 15 mins we go direct to try and salvage something from the awful system that we played the previous 75 mins.
The above would be a short price to back in most of our games. I have never known another side where you can map out many of their games long before it’s kicked off. [Post edited 30 Dec 2022 10:25]

I can’t think of another side where you can predict 65% possession, 650+ passes, similar shots as the opposition and a defeat… can you then?

Probably more accurate to say we were lucky that they put them away at an unnatural rate last season or we would have have been bang in trouble. As someone mentioned earlier, Piroes xG was off the scale.
This season season seems to be a more realistic and sustainable goal return for them. To expect a Piroe to go at a goal every other game for 2 seasons in a row would be remarkable, and of course he would no longer be a Swansea player next month if that were the case. | |
