πŸ”΄ January Transfer Window 2024 on 18:46 - Jan 24 by OptimisticJack

How can you say this?
Are you privy to information that we aren't?
This time next week there should be a clearer picture.
Transfer windows notoriously don't warm up until the final day.
Fans of most teams in similar ( or worse) financial situations to us are complaining of the same lack of action.
January though is notoriously a difficult transfer window to do business.

Loans out are a different matter. Liam Smith last window and Olie McBurney in the past were left hanging on the final day due to a lack of time.

The paperwork medicals should getting done now. It is basic management.

Wise sage since Toshack era

Like the rest of us

Excuses…to come, too much wages, agents fees, didnt like rissoles or Gower or just our jerk owners simply didn’t know what to do.

That last one is not an excuse. It’s a bona fide reasonπŸ˜‚

Swansea City Transfer News : Luke Williams lets his mask slip ever so slightly 25th Jan 2024 08:00
Swansea City head coach Luke Williams has lowered his guard slightly over this months transfer movements, or lack of them as the transfer window progresses. He seemed prepared to an extent for no movement inwards whatsoever. This has to be the slowest January for some while, not many clubs are investing, will that be the Swans again ? 0

Keith the slowest January?

Stop reading wales online last year we bloody signed 0 players.

The paul watson myth will be busted if we don't bring in anyone.

Look if signing someone means breaching ffp we wouldn't care would we.

The owners should just say in the summer we will give you one thrill and thats it.

We could be Reading or Oldham.

Lowe is injured !

Swap Jerry Yeates for adi at afc Wimbledon!
Get langstaff here we would be Ipswich!
But balancing the books is more important (boring) but more important!

it doesn't cost alot for us to say yes we are doing this the right way.

Think it’s too late now. Any prospective player looking at this shambles v Bournemouth tonight will see it as a career backward step.

Hopefully they aren't watching S4C although the highlights will make pretty grim watching.

We need 4 or 5 decent players in, not bang average signings who are bottom half championship players, or worse.

Swansea Indepenent Poster Of The Year 2021. Dr P / Mart66 / Roathie / Parlay / E20/ Duffle was 2nd, but he is deluded and thinks in his little twisted brain that he won. Poor sod. We let him win this year, as he has cried for a whole year. His 14 usernames, bless his cotton socks.

Or ones for the future!

Totally agree. They need to possess some pace as well because we are like tortoises at the moment.

Need a few players who can actually play and who have got experience, not a load of youngsters on loan, need a dog in middle of the park and an Am worthy of the position, pace is desperately needed Cullen for all his work rate etc got massively found out again tonight, players just leaving him for dead, Williams picking that backline was a ludicrous lack of judgement.
Like I said on another thread, it was a game to nothing and he's hopefully found a few players out tonight.

It was appalling I agree. But at the moment Bournemouth are not an 'average' prem side. Their form over the last 10/12 games in the PL has been outstanding.

Even after losing the last two (to Liverpool and Spurs) their form over the previous 7 games was six won and one draw.

Players due to leave by the summer.

Loans.
Rushworth
Humphries
Ashby
Lowe
Patino

Short contract.
Bolasie

End of contract June.
Wood
Cullen
Patterson
Naughton
Allen
Walsh
Ogbeta
B Cooper

14 players thats a hell of a lot with most in and around the first team squad. The loans are what they are and I expect/hope that we do not take up the option on Bolasie. Allen, Naughton to slip away gracefully? with Walsh not being offered a new contract? the same with Ogbeta, remember him. Brandon Cooper is back from his loan so do we let him go at 23. That leaves Wood, Cullen and Patterson to either offer new contracts or try and sell. I expect a couple to go this window.

Looks like the bottom thre on the list gone or going, the next two above, Naughton and Allen I would just let them leave in June. Wood, Cullen and Patterson need to have their futures sorted out ASAP.

While you have this lot running this club no manager will be able to stop this decline especially a cheap as chips guy brought in because he managed and got promoted a club who could buy better players in the conference due to having more money to buy players there apart from Wrexham, so just take the attitude of it is what it is and stop this excitable transfer market bollocks because the only players coming here will be the cheap ones that no one else wants.

I'm more concerned who is going in the next week, looking at the loans we have, Patterson and Cullen.
