Birmingham City v Swansea City : Match day thread UPDATED** 13:26 - Jan 8 with 16008 viewsModeratorC

Two new managers : Mowbray v Williams

Swansea City : Expect a different Birmingham City this Saturday ‘Mowbray style’ 9th Jan 2024 15:03
Another one of our bright young writers takes a good look at Tony Mowbray this afternoon, and what the Swans could possibly expect this Saturday ( St Andrews, KO 3pm ) It won’t take Tony Mowbray long to steady the ship and get Birmingham City going. 0

Swans close to Birmingham sell out & away day info latest 10th Jan 2024 08:00
Swansea City are close to selling out their 1,800 away allocation for Saturday when they take on Birmingham City at St Andrews. ( KO 3pm ) That’s great news as the Luke Williams feel good factor has gripped the Jack Army. 0

Bad news off the pitch for Swansea City today, but the Jack Army are behind you ! 13th Jan 2024 08:00
Swansea City’s squad are already safely installed within striking distance of St Andrews this morning. The not so good news is the usual suspects going down with injuries again. 0

Swans end up all level after going ahead at St Andrews - Twice ! 13th Jan 2024 17:51
As Ben Cabango joined the Swans fans in the away end for this game having been ruled out on Friday evening the Swans displayed a determined approach to this fixture. However, once again a match winning lead was given away by the Swans with well over twenty points now being lost this season. 1

Luke Williams on drawing 2-2 with Birmingham City 13th Jan 2024 21:07
Luke Williams was pleased with an away point at Birmingham City this afternoon. And despite stating the Swans started well in the second half ( they didn’t ) it was his first game in the championship as a head coach. 0

How did Birmingham equalise so easily ? The move examined and there is fault everywhere 14th Jan 2024 14:27
It was a tough but expected happening at St Andrews yesterday afternoon. This happens far too often, the Swans give away a lead when ahead, not once but twice. Man of the match Dembele was the big difference. We’ve had a look at that second goal and it’s a tad embarrassing all round. 2

Thing is passing out from the back is fine, but the defence we have don’t have the speed of thought. Hence Birmingham nearly robbing a few goals in the first five minutes.

Keith.
I’ve been harping on about this for about 4 yrs.
We don’t have the talent to play as we would like .
It’s about being pragmatic
So far, fair to say,I’m rather underwhelmed
No change .

Get Fulton off, and Patino on.
Paterson needs to turn and go, not play the safe pass back every time.
If Wood doesn’t improve , get him off. Darling CB and try Ogbeta at full back.

Swansea Indepenent Poster Of The Year 2021. Dr P / Mart66 / Roathie / Parlay / E20/ Duffle was 2nd, but he is deluded and thinks in his little twisted brain that he won. Poor sod. We let him win this year, as he has cried for a whole year. His 14 usernames, bless his cotton socks.

This is not any better at all.

I suppose if LW is going to try and play out of the back then the team need to be confident in their own abilities. You can only do that by playing with ‘live ammunition’ I suppose.

There've been some scary moments for sure.

The midfield has got itself into better positions further up the park so once the ball does get forward we are in a better attacking positions resulting in primary corners.
Would really like to see what happened with their goal, presume someone switched off which happened constantly under Martin. Away from home this game is there for the taking if we get our act together.
