To me there is a real dilemma, when you have a player who is clicking, whether to cash in or see said player as a key element in a future promotion push. I can't help thinking that in the season where Brentford pipped us and went up, having Vip alongside Ayew would have made the required difference. Now we are weaker in other areas and need to spend there, but finding a goalscorer to take chances others make is the hardest thing of all.

I’m referring to the headline compared to the text, nothing more.
It isn’t criticising Matos, because he ‘believes’ there is interest, the headline tells you there is. If people are happy with that then they have a lower standard of proof than we do at the Indy.

If Vip continues to add to his 21-goal tally with 4 games to go, then he will definitely attract interest, if it isn't already there. The fact that he extended his contract allows owners to put a nice price tag on him when the appropriate time to do so. I'm sure the owners / management are making all talk and interest from all clubs transparent to Vip and his agent; and vice-versa too! Bottom line is: Swans are in a good position at the moment. Think what £25-30M would allow the club to do!

I just hope the coaching team that transformed him from a bulk standard National League player to being the top scorer in the Championship get rewarded financially for their efforts. Vip came back at the start of this season with his bad habits knocked out of him, and a new attitude and awareness of what was needed to improve his game. He needed to change and the man has taken it all on board and those that created the new VIP should surely get some benefit? (£15mill price tag seems about right to me.)

I think we know he is going. I think we would all like the maximum return. Guess if we were masters of business we would be running the club! They will do their best I am sure. Looking at the current accounts they may have to. A useful reminder that we will be needing very careful management of funds to find the talent and system to progress. Very tough for us to really kick on, a lot of things need to come together. We almost need 6 or 7 marketable players rather than 1 or 2, so that we don't keep being a one step forward, 2 steps back club. It might be that Idah proves to be a useful buy with a season to settle in, the same way Vipi did. Remember he was one foot out the door this time last year as a player that had not met expectations!

I still think Swansea were negligent in letting Gyorkeres walk away from a loan to buy but Piroe came in shortly after. It could be argued Coventry built a promotion squad off the Gyorkeres money.
Yes some right divs on there as always who obviously haven't seen him play more than once - I was tempted to tell them to look at his first 20 goals on You Tube as it shows how he's a clinical striker and only goal 20 is a penalty. We've had an unusual amount of them in April which has influenced opinion.
