Think I've said elsewhere that I wouldn't be surprised if he left. We're fairly well stocked at RB now and it would make sense to free up a senior wage.

His attacking at times was far superior to Ronald. Had glimpses of a good player, but dipped in and out of form since Williams said he reminded him of Bale. All credit to him to come back from his struggles, but a player who never knew when to release the ball and defensively was terrible. I wouldn't be too gutted if he went. | | | |

Hopefully we can keep Zan but if he goes we will need a new 9 , as Idah isn’t a 9 ,he’s a second striker

Portsmouth will move on their Right back Terry Devlin who was their player of the year last season. Wrexham were interested. He will surely have come across Swnsea s radar. Another Northern Ireland international. [Post edited 2 Jul 17:29]

The reverse could be said that Ronaldt when used at RB he was a better defender, able to win move aerial battles knowing how to be in the right position to attack it, he was able to get a foot in by being stronger than the opposition player the question against Ronald would be his first touch if we play that possesion game then it would be an issue .and he went chasing done the ball trying to close players down which is ok if others around him know to step across to cover the gaps he left.
Key issues would he struggled being in the right position to challenge for the high ball that would primarily be because as a wing back he would be to far forward chasing back trying to keep track of the ball and winger over either shoulder. Key isn't particularly strong on the ball often pushed off it when he should simply play it first time in defensive mode either out of play or back, similarly in attacking mode first time forward he can join the attack at his good speed. but with Ronald in front that accurate ball into his path may be an issue the same could be said of Vipotnik
Tymon had a number of similar issues to Key when he first came to the Swans and he has gain a lot more experience than Key but he hasn't had so many injury issues as Key .
Under Matos we have seen improvements in both. If we lose one of them it will be a blow but if both it will need another rebuild of the defence, If the youngsters can step up and keep fit all well and good, add the knew signing we may be OK and Matos does seem to be able to coach players to get the best of them while Matos eventually seemed to be getting to grips with which players or tactic to use in different situations. | | | |
