Great win....it was difficult to get anything with Charlton putting 10 men behind the ball,though Vip had shot turned round the post and Tymon goal dissallowed ffor offside.
Had one of those counted the game woukd have beem different.
Fulton made a difference...2 great goals from Idah...I wonder if tjose who were so verbal against him earlier this season still think the same.
Great subs from Matos,wonder goal from Walta and even at 94 mins 3-1 up the players were still chasing and running their socks off |

I hope Widell’s injury isn’t a bad one as he’s improving with every game
I thought Burgess did well , kept it simple and cleared the ball well
Young Woodward did great and had a lovely assist as well
Ronald frustrated again and Cullen was pretty anonymous and if we recruit well in the summer I can’t see him being anywhere near our squad
Nice to sign off with a nice win and finishing top half which looked a big ask in January
Let’s hope we can keep our best players and with our returning players and good recruitment we should be a lot stronger next season

Enjoyable game even in the first half we pulled them about and created space the fact we weren't prepared to put the ball into forwards feet when we have worked the ball so well at times is so annoying. Get the ball into feet once we have gain territory, it does seem that once we find a team encamped in their half our forwarfs and advanced midfielders seem a little lost and not prepared to come off their markers which would encourage that ball forward more.
I thought Stamenic had a fine game in the first half half he got noticeably closer to mark players which tended to get us on the front foot I thought Fulton did more or less the same,.Walta did well keeping possession high up the park waiting for the right ball instead of the force the pass helped by his ability to keep control of the ball while defenders tried to close him down. Today we saw players unexpectantly popping up all over the park but looking comfortable while do it.
Chalton were a team we should have been able to see off and we did comfortably in the end.
Franco was outstanding today apart from his shot and Rinald puts away a cracker only for the goal to be disallowed along with Tymon's.
A number of tactics we have seen to be used today have been tried by pasted managers but didn't work, today under Matos they did, a much better coached team who have an understanding of what is needed of them. | | | |

Enjoyed Key's preformance today but still think he needed to get the ball down the line to Ronald's feet allowing Key to then come forward at pace, they did it a number of times to good effect but not often enough in that first half, we know what Key can do driving forward and yet Key is the problem at times in playing the safe( ineffective) ball backwards even on throw ins his first option is backwards not forwards, which surely is the whole point of gaining possession in the opposition's half rather than relinquish that position gained.
Key played well today but you cannot win games by keeping the ball in your own half, no team ever has, teams have won games getting the ball forward quickly with purpose,the purpose to get the ball into dangerous areas of the pitch for the opposition. | | | |

I noticed that as well, he seemed to gesture to him about movement dropping off and pressing. Just my interpretation of the hand signals, things like these off the ball incidents are often not seen on a screen. |  | | |

I was worried about bringing the inexperienced Woodward on given the 1-0 scoreline but we had to give him minutes on the pitch, there really was nothing to be lost and more to be gain for the future of the team by giving him a chance, glad he took the chance in his stride, noticed one challenge when the Chalton player tried to give him a dig he just shrugged him off and kept us moving forward in a flowing move.
Just looked back at the first goal and the movement of Walta and patiences to create space was great nice short balls into feet of players coming off defenders moving them about and then the quick switch of play to Key in space in the box who had time to pick his ball into the congested area with Idah who had first moved out of the area then drove in leaving the defenders unable to close him down.
Well worked goal.
As for the second we pressed the ball well Tymon close enough to the winger to get a good challenge in not backing off giving the winger time to turn and run at him instead quick ball forward to cause problems in their defense.

Idah has a knack of losing his marker and pulling back in the area creating space for himself. He still tends to play to far on the right for me but it worked well particularly as we seemed to play with two further forward when he came on. My earlier doubts about him are fading fast as with Walta who is growing into his role. If we lost nobody in the summer (it won't happen) we would be strong promotion candidates next season. Any replacements brought in needs to be ready to go, we can't waste another season waiting for players to get up to speed. | | | |

First of all , 11th is very respectable
We were sinking under Sheehan
Matos has been a breath of fresh air and it’s hard to dislike him as an individual
As a coach , who knows what the future will bring
Players do play for him and our team spirit is excellent
Individually , we all have our opinions of the players . I’ve not been exactly Fulton’s biggest fan but of late he has been superb and far more “ positive” going forward whilst I’ve been a little disappointed with Stamenic
Fulton clearly is a model pro
Cullen though is also a good pro but one clearly lacking the quality if we are wanting to progress
Fisher is still inadequate imo
Walta clearly has ability as does Widdell
Franco is a dog and a good one
The basics are there and I think the club is respected but we need to press on
Next season should be very exciting

If you noticed a number of people complained about our first half performance we opened up areas of the pitch well in the first half but Key was not prepared to open his body out to play the ball to Ronald's feet given the space in front of Key all Ronald needs to do then is lay the ball back to Key so he can come forward at pace into that space with the ball into Ronald standing up the defence leaving them static while Key has forward momentum.
Key played well at times but that right side should be creating more chances that is not all down to Ronald's play.
We see how many assisted Tymon has because the ball is moved better on the left hand side.How many times yesterday did we see the ball get to Widell and Walta compared to the supply to Ronald who is expected to constantly chase the long ball from the back because that is were it invariably ends up from throw ins and possession football at the back. Make Ronald's job easier get the ball to him quicker and support him, not saying Ronald is without flaws either but he will get us possession up the pitch be it throw ins or corners.We saw the difference that Parker made because he got the ball to Ronald earlier and supported him. | | | |
