I didn’t agree with all her views, but we live in a democratic society and unless she was breaking the law I’d 100% defend her right to say what she wanted.

My only experience of the left and further extremists was my younger days as an ANtiFA activist (the real AntiFA not the middle class idiots we see today) in the early 80’s, it’s called growing up i suppose. Then i found the left (I was impressionable) having solid ideas which led me to socialism.
Nowadays I have no leaning or real opinion other than stamping out hate by any means (is still my belief) These people are 0.000000001 % of the country who stand on opposite sides of the road shouting at each other and in the main represent hardly any of the UK public. They travel here and there generally wasting police time.
It’s farcical. As much as the middle class who sit in comfort supporting hatred no matter which side they are on or pretending to be aware of. Sad bitter people who can’t get up any day without a hate target.

I am always reminded of my grandfather's reflection, as a soldier he was posted to Berlin immediately after the end of WW2. He was stationed with the diplomatic service and got to observe both the Soviet and German officers at close quarters.
His relection was that the Germans were transparent, they were open about their actions and their distain for others, in fact quite easy to deal with. The Soviets on the other hand always asserted that they were acting in good faith at all times regardless of the facts. | |
