You are correct in what you say about him but max is also correct in his opinion of him.
He is an arrogant entitled pr!ck because he thinks he can 'persuade' officials to see the game the way he wants it to go. |
Oh well that puts him in good company then with the best managers in the game, Ferguson, Mourinho, Wenger, Guardiola, Clough and any other manager you’d care to mention. He’s doing his best for his club. Disputing and disagreeing with referee decisions is part of the game. He was right in those instance. He was in the 4th officials ear from the off,complaining when we were awarded a free kick for the "attack" on Key in the first couple of minutes.
His team were cynical and fouled at every opportunity, Key was hurled to the ground is similar manner to Cabangos foul on Moore yet no free kick awarded.
Yes a manager shiukd be questioning but not when his team sets out to foul from the off. | |

Cynical fouls are part of the game and my first thought on Cabango's challenge was he could be sent off, booked but that doesn't excuse the lack of bookings for the opposition when they were clearly bookings add to that the play acting that got some of our players booked comical really the aim to win free kick to feed Moore and the official fell for it, Welsh deserved his booking towards the end for a cynical foul but the opposition deserved a couple of bookings before the Cabango challenge bad refereeing changed the dynamic off the game in the favour of the transgressers which we see far too often in the Championship come Totham in football in general. Makes the game unpleasant to watch fouls off the ball and diving is just awful. [Post edited 8 Sep 9:33]

Must be me ( and a few others I suspect) but the way the likes of Wrexham and too many others who are more concerned with not losing and by any means rather than play the game as it should be along with officials who really should take another hobby due to their at time blatant favouring of one team over another is a major reason why I very rarely watch PL football and yes its a mans game but some of the antics displayed leave me cold.IMO of course. | |

It was why I couldn't watch Italian football when it was first televised live on S4C it held no interest at all, it seems the antics have alienated a lot of fans as it came into the Premier league and beyond. | | | |

Are you sure? That’s a bit harsh. He’s actually done well in his career by getting teams to over achieve. Getting a fourth division club to a major final for starters. Im sure you know best though. |
He’s a prick because he encourages his players to play dirty safe in the knowledge that the refs are so scared of being portrayed negatively in any subsequent documentary that they will turn a blind eye to their skullduggery which they do. [Post edited 12 Sep 22:19]
