Anyone else have a bit of extra emotion in the celebration yesterday after seeing Ronald set up a goal like that? Like your little brother scoring a goal at grassroots level if you know what I mean.. Great seeing all the players celebrating with him too.. But more importantly he looks reinvigorated and dare I say like the player we had when he first came.. If Key is going to be questionable due to his hamstring issue, then why not get him to learn the art of being a right fullback? With his work rate and being more of a wingback than an out and out winger, I would think RB might be a position worth exploring. | | | |

Not for me.
There’s a big difference between a fullback and a winger who is good at protecting his fullback. Maybe in an emergency like Dyer at Forest (if I remember it right) but I can’t see him getting near Key or Lissah.
I’d say the same about Key being converted to a winger. | | | |

For all the Ronald critisism and I am one who also like to highlight his faults. All credit to him for showing really passions and showing he has something to prove. Last season he might of got to comfortable with being only real selection. But this is the version of Ronald we first saw when he joined us. |
He gives 100 percent, there's also an argument that he was over worked, but his work in the final third was poor last season. Having him come on with 30 mins to go may be a very good role for him. |  |

I agree its a decent shout, been a little one dimensional as an attacking player overall for me, he started well enough when he arrived though iirc, Matos sees him everyday so it all depends as where he thinks his strengths are. |  | | |

Very hard for a manger to get the best out of players, if you asked me after the first couple of games about Opoku and Yeo I would have said Opoku was the stronger player and Yeo didn't quite work, Just worked well with Opoku but Opoku didn't seem to work well with Widell who had to adapt to the right side of midfield, Eom dislodged Yeo on the left and Yeo seemingly dislodging Opoku on the right, Stamenic is push further forward on the left of midfield to accommodate Fulton as the preferred Defensive Midfielder, Eustaquio comes in on the left not as everybody expected in the DM role, Stamenic seen as the future oust Fulton and Eom away requires Widell to play out on the left, Tymon needs to join the forward push more often to get those dangerous crosses in, Cabango's return breaks up a solid looking pairing, Lissah goes from a comfortable looking defender to a struggling right back a position he previously for some had made his own, Key's marked improvement now being questioned
Lots of things for Matos to ponder in an attempt to keep us fans happy while getting results which given the new players and the changes he has done an excellent job. [Post edited 14 Sep 9:03]
