Last night was a massive night for Lincoln. Michael Skubala was poached by Bristol City straight after getting Lincoln promoted in May. Two of their coaches have stepped up to take joint charge. The coaching staff and most of the team were there when Skibala walked out so felt they had a point to prove. How much this midweek match will have taken out of Lincoln whilst we will have had a free week we will see on Saturday. I feel that the strength of our bench will prove to much for them as we can work them very hard from the start. I'm going for a 0-1 win.

Did anybody watch the whole game last night? How did they play?

Clearly not!

I just watched the extended highlights. As you’d expect, it looked like Bristol had the better chances but Lincoln’s goal was on par with Idah’s for us against Burnley, a big defensive / keeper error. Highlights aren’t particularly reliable though.

I think they could give us problems, their striker is 6'8 so expect a lot of high balls into our box.

Matos will obvioulsy be wise to this and it depends on our press. If we can restrict them to crosses from deep so Ladofoged (sic) always has his back to goal we may be ok. They will work hard but our pace on the break may hurt them and our passing game may run them into the ground, hopefully.

I don't think it will be easy though. If we score early it may turn out easy, the longer it takes us, the harder it gets.

I'm gonna be the arragant and slightly uneducated 😂 one. Yes any team can beat anyone, but alot of fear from people with this match. They aren't world beaters. Yes they have a good record with defense but it's no fear for me
We're 2nd in the league for a reason and have alot of creativity. Yes we have struggled with teams who sit back but for me this match is the perfect time to show we can learn from past teams doing this to us. 2-0 win

That's as simple as it gets. if we have any thoughts of promotion or even the play-offs, then this game is a must. Would West ham, Wolves or Southampton worry about going there? Lincoln have beaten Bolton, Bristol City and Preston North End. I think it will be 0-1. but agree on everything else.

There's no fear about this match. Just respect for an opponent who isn't going to just lie down for us.

Yes, it's a game that we should look to get at least a point from, but going in with the belief that it will be easy is a surefire way to ensure that we don't even manage that.

We should have beaten Sheff Utd and Wrexham at home yet ultimately created little. A well organised side on their own patch is capable of doing the same to us and always has a chance of nicking a goal.

Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back.
