If this was the case with Rooney, our parachute payments would be withheld and we would have to repay any we had received. The Premier League take a dim view on a clubs funds being misspent after relegation.

The Americans need to be completely transparent now as the figures , as we all know don't add up.
The likelihood is that there has been financial mismanagement of the highest order, however this shouldn't be at the level whereby the club doesn't now have the proverbial pot to pi ss in, are off loading players to the extent we are with very few coming in.
The owners are taking the talk about the new recruitment structure both last summer and in the wake of Jenkins' resignation, enough now though is enough.
