Joe Pigott, 200k typical swans investment 21:03 - Sep 29 with 6698 viewsKeithHaynes

News out tonight folks, Swans definitely in for AFC Wimbledon striker. Its only tentative talks, but after a phone call this afternoon, this isn't speculation, this could easily happen by Saturday.Swansea City are weighing up a move for AFC Wimbledon striker Joe Pigott. The 26-year-old enjoyed a fruitful season last term, scoring 18 goals for Glyn Hodges’ side and he’s started this campaign in similar fashion with him recording two goals and four assists thus far. The Swans face competition from Reading for his signature, with it reported he could be available for a cut-price fee in the region of £200,000

The Swansea Independent believes there's no smoke without fire here, and contact tonight with allies of the site point to this being an Andy Scott recommendation to Julian Winter, 200k is an absolute steal.

He’s 26 he will be expected to come straight into first team and make an impact.

James and McBurnie were signed for academy.

Don't know enough about him to have an opinion either way, but if you are right in what you say regarding this being an Andy Scott recommendation then we need to give him the benefit of the doubt, did a good enough job at Brentford.

Be interesting to see how this plays out.

Lacks pace but clever movement. Most of his goals come from crosses (high and low) and set pieces. Tidy free kick on him.

Brentford model was best player in a poor team, he fits the bill, and cheap.

Just saw a few vidoes. Out and out number 9 by the looks.

Would lick his lips at some of the balls Bidwell is putting in at the moment. Big step up though.

My impression is "McBurnie-like" and maybe more of a front two player than a lone striker, as Oli was/is.

All Swanseas best signing were cheap. Bodde Scotland Rangel Williams Britton Michu. Bigger fee does not mean better. Borja and Clucas.

Agree. Add Dyer and Williams to that list. £500k and £400k respectively I think.

The fee isn’t important.

I honestly think if there was two players for sale of exactly the same ability, one price set at £5m and the other set at £100k, many of our supporters would want us to get the £5m player.

"We have to show ambishun!"

Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back.
