Most people could see it was a weak joke. I mean, you would have to be a bit twp to think the lads could get that huge bridge up to Kilvey Hill. No wheels on it for a start. Lighten up fella, maybe go to your local and have a few pints .... you need to get out more.

What if you genuinely don't like it? Maybe when the place is finished it'll look ok but when I showed my wife the picture she said it was ugly and horrible. I'm happy you are happy but is it a rule that I have to like this bridge to? Or am I not allowed to voice an opinion.. Reading the comments in WOL, quite a few people didn't like it. https://www.walesonline.co.uk/news/wales-news/looks-like-crunchie-good-bad-19985

You are entitled to like or dislike that id your choice. I was referring to the muppet who suggested it was taken to kilvey Hill and set alight. Clearly we can only judge it once the development is finished and the bridge is lit. It certainly looks a bit more distinctive than the concrete bridge it replaced.

I don't like it myself, looks ugly and out of place, suppose we'll have to wait until the area is more or less finished. [Post edited 8 Mar 2021 15:56]

Swansea ha a history of demolishing what is aethetically pleasing and replacing it with a blot on landcape. The Guildhall is beautiful and built at a time when Swansea had real class. When they built the likes of the City Hall and the grotesque Court building, you just knew how bad it became

| Swansea's new bridge on 14:29 - Mar 8 with 1373 views | Joe_bradshaw | I like it. I like architecture that isn’t the same old, same old and it’s a talking point and an attraction. Then again, I like abstract art which loads of people don’t but it’s subjective like music or any other form of art. | |

We are in the 21st century , there's a bit (not a lot granted) left of the "old "Swansea to whet the appetite of those harking for the past grandiose days. The area around the Queens /Morgan's ( spit) for example shows how much the City's development has been (most of it bland but we are where we are so if the bridge is progress towards a bright new era for the town then I'll embrace it .
