That wasn’t meant to sound like a euphemism and now I’ve got a disgusting image in my head that I can’t get rid of… [Post edited 21 Dec 2021 17:31]

| I've set up a crowdfunding page on 17:42 - Dec 21 with 1904 views | Catullus | The Senedd announced a bail out fund for Welsh sport, there's a few million in there to help. Technically, as it's tax payers money, every tax payer in Wales is helping out. | |

Sadly that is the way taxation in the UK is set up. It all goes to Westminster and if we're good they give us some of it back! #YesCymru

It’s calculated by the Barnett formula which gives us more money per head than in England so we aren’t doing too badly with it.

Maybe you should email Mark Drakeford, because it’s his decision to close down.

Do a car wash at the club - players wash fans cars for a fiver. They can't expect to be given money for doing nothing. The young uns could work in Tesco in the evenings. Work earns money. Sat on your bum earns nothing.
| Swansea Indepenent Poster Of The Year 2021. Dr P / Mart66 / Roathie / Parlay / E20/ Duffle was 2nd, but he is deluded and thinks in his little twisted brain that he won. Poor sod. We let him win this year, as he has cried for a whole year. His 14 usernames, bless his cotton socks.

Well only SCFC and CCFC (in football) will be that badly affected. Welsh league clubs, Wrexham and Newport won't lose that much, depending on the length of the shutdown.

Every tax payer form the next 4 generations at least in the UK will be helping out as it is money borrowed by the tories on top of the record breaking loans they took out while trashing the country despite 10 years of austerity.

"Despite" austerity, as if that isn't a cause. Tightening our belts to pay off the national credit card... complete fiction that reads as common sense to people who have no idea how an economy works (i.e. most voters). Makes the rich richer, nothing more.

It’s not only football though is it. Rugby, Cardiff v scarlets which was a sell out, will no doubt cost the tax payers probably at least £300,000. As I said £3 million won’t last long.

You are missing the point. Wales gets Barnett because its poor. Wales does not want to be poor. ‘Why is Wales poor ?’ is a great question, especially as coal generated huge wealth. If the uk govt would fix the inequality in the uk, then wales does not need barnett. Simples.

Wales needs to spend its money more wisely for the whole of Wales, instead of making one corner more affluent. Then the standard of life in the whole of Wales would increase. Its not up to the UK government to rectify this, its up to the Senedd. If the Senedd can't improve Wales then what is its point. Apologies for taking the thread off topic.
| I've set up a crowdfunding page on 23:37 - Dec 23 with 1133 views | ReslovenSwan1 | Swansea need to postpone its home games like Cardiff. In Wales the healthier you are the more you lose. The Omnicron strain is short lived and mild. It will peak soon and drop off rapidly. The EFL should shut down for 3 weeks. Swansea can then play in front of crowds, | |

Yes we should try and postpone games. But with the league and Welsh Government ruling that the league programme will continue, clubs probably have to present evidence to back up their application to postpone. So unless more players catch it I doubt it's possible.
