Congratulations if you’re in the top 1% of earners. If you earn a million pounds a year you are now £54,400 better off.

Don’t worry if you earn around £25k, you’ll be around a massive £280 better off.

It’s a politically suicidal start from KwRteng .
It will guarantee national contempt

Those on 150k will end up paying less tax come April. 5% less, yet 1p off income taxis offered to others .
It’s incredible and will cost them dearly

Poll: Christmas. Enjoyable or not

At the bottom end foodbank use will soar.

Nevermind, employment figures are at an all time high so everything must be fine…

I don't understand how anyone in their right mind actively supports these lunatics. They are going to cause a massive recession. Although i suppose that wouldnt be too bad for the 1% who hoover up all the defaulted homes and businesses.

But anyone can make it into the 1%. All you need is a dream, hard work, inherited titles, rich parents and 16 million pounds.

Ironically, the first set of increased bankers bonuses will be paid out to those who shortened the pound.

There are a few on this forum that have been cheerleading this lot for some time. Will they find a way of defending this budget?

The best judge is the market.

How the hell can the country afford this?

It's clearly an attempt to gain some popularity that we'll be paying for for years.

This all day long cause a recession and snaffle everything up for next to nothing. Wake up people. It won't be popular with some but Corbyns refusal to step aside when it was clear he was totally unelectable enabled this lot of hyenas.

This is good news, one more nail put in the Tory coffin for re-election.

Even when you know, you never know?

The want the pound to crash to short it.
Nothing else makes sense.

The politics of envy. I’d rather spend my money on something I want, rather than give it to the government so they can send arms to the Ukraine to kill Russians.

I'm lost for words, it's greed, it's well known trickle down doesn't work, the Tories are doing it to look after themselves and their rich friends at the expense of the general population.

Has Liz Truss said we're stopping giving arms to Ukriane then?

Isn't it more a case of them digging a much deeper hole, more like 20 feet than 6 feet under, the problem being when they get buried the rest of us will already be in there!

Just my opinion, but WTF do I know anyway?

Typical Tories. The rich will always get richer whilst the poor get poorer. Same old.

Swansea Indepenent Poster Of The Year 2021. Dr P / Mart66 / Roathie / Parlay / E20/ Duffle was 2nd, but he is deluded and thinks in his little twisted brain that he won. Poor sod. We let him win this year, as he has cried for a whole year. His 14 usernames, bless his cotton socks.

The only way out of this in the medium term is an increase in tax. By a lot and for a long time.

Thats what I tend to think, they know they are losing the next election so they are making it as hard for Labour as they can.

The same kind of thing that labour did when they were last in power, remember the note...there's no money left. It's one of the problems with our system. Maybe we'd be better off with a one party system
