Last time I went I went in the SA1, on a Friday lunchtime a couple of months ago, it was less than half full. In the past it has always been packed. Strange to see the Mumbles one close though, the restaurants there seem to have taken over the SA1 clientele.

Did you once go there and paid for a meal for someone who no longer posts on here?

Over stretching and a fondness for drink and gambling. 'Apparently'

Chef playing f*ck about him using his chopping board once too often contributed to the downfall allegedly 😉

Good to see the creative billing has caught up with them. Tossers. The lunch menu as Clasey said was great, ala carte over priced and rubbish service

| La Parrilla on 08:54 - Jan 16 with 3964 views | pikeypaul | The Mumbles one never took off and was always empty, whilst around the corner Bistrot Pierre is smashing all company nationwide turnover records. A certain well known local asked for crayfish tails but with out the sauce but the manager refused but would not give a reason , something no other restaurant in the area has a problem with. That alone stopped a large group of people going there. The son does enjoy his social life, which is great but maybe he should pay a little more attention to the business,I expect he’ll be back in the brassiere. | |

I’ll always shop local over chains within reason, but I definitely made an exception for La Parilla/Bistrot Pierre. Charging top whack and then extra if you wanted chips/veg bowl etc took the piss. As eluded to before, it wasn’t unknown for the drinks bill, particularly for large groups, to not always be entirely accurate. In a way, it’s a shame to see it go, but at the same time, treat the public like that and they are going to vote with their feet.

I'm surprised it's taken that long. They've been taking the pìss for years.

Damn right I had a meal at Miller and Carter on the Gower road Less chips than a McDonald's small fries Just give people decent meals and they will come back
