Funny these questions are never asked when we are winning. Tate could well be the next manager who knows?

| Tate ? on 13:51 - Apr 4 with 1118 views | jasper_T | Tate's a qualified coach who put in years with the younger age groups but he's the junior member of Cooper's team so not sure what obvious impact he's supposed to be having to satisfy people. Wasn't manager of any of the age group sides (assistant with the u18s for a bit?) so the next caretaker is more likely to be O'Leary should Cooper & co. leave. | | | |

We need to keep the likes of Tate trundle Britton involved with the club. It's our dna. Unless we clear right out at the end of the season. Change direction and get someone like pulls in perhaps Our fans would prefer that?

If Swansea were going to use old players to maintain the principle of the "Swansea way" Alan Tate and Kristian O'leary would not necessarily be the no 1 and no 2 choices. I am sure howver they are doing a great job. I hope Routledge can be involved as he seems to have a cerebrial approach and his interviews he has expressed views on coaching particularly under Brendan. He is also well settled in the area. Leon Britton when he gets bored of home life should work for the acadmey and posts should be found for Angel Rangel and Ashley Willams and possible Nathan Dyer.

We've already got someone like Pulis. Not a fan of jobs for the boys unless they're qualified and work their way up to important jobs. Tate's the only one of those three who has done the hard yards. Knows a lot of the younger players in the first team environment (Dan Wiliams, Cam Evans etc.) really well plus others coming through the scholarship age groups for the future. If the club wants to keep progressing players through from the academy it can be useful to have people with first hand knowledge involved on a day to day basis, not just an academy head giving recommendations on video chat from their office at Landore.

Yeah, isn't it also funny how hardly anybody complains when we're winning? I wonder if there's a connection? Lets hope we find out over the next 7 games.....7 wins and we'll all be happy! Tate won't be manager, I'm pretty sure though obviously nobody really knows whats in the future. We could end up with McCarthy!!!!

When we are winning fans assume the coaching staff are doing their jobs, but when we are losing. while playing some absolute shyte football, unsurprisingly fans will ask questions, there's nothing funny in that. I presume you're happy with our present playing style, and the way the team is being coached.

| Tate ? on 19:01 - Apr 4 with 976 views | Dr_Winston | Much the same was said of KoL when Monk was in charge, except based on the way he comes across on comms he was probably the smartest one there. Tate may be useless. He may be a sharp cookie being ignored half the time. Nobody knows, which makes singling him out somewhat pointless. | |

| Tate ? on 19:02 - Apr 4 with 976 views | Joe_bradshaw | No one knows then. I suppose as a defender he might have some input into our defending? In which case he’s contributing to the most successful area of the team. We can’t watch them train these days so it’s not possible to see what he may or may not contribute on the training pitch. | |

I’ve been questioning Tate for two years. I hear nothing of his ability and even less of what he offers.

For me that’s always a good point, same goes for Monk, although look where he ended up. Unfortunately those playing days are long gone, and although never forgotten he can’t live on them forever. I would hazard a guess though he hasn’t given as much sweat and blood as some of us over the years 😉
