Crowds increased dramatically, in the late seventies early eighties I would always go and watch the bluebirds play if the swans were away. Had some great players.

I like to try to give youngsters some idea of old players by comparing them with current stars. I reckon Tammy Abraham is a young version of Adebayor. Latchford the closest would be Giroud I would guess. Curtis is tricky. Jordan Ayew perhaps but more consistent. Leighton James. David Brookes if he gets over his injuries. John Charles never played for the Swans first team, Leeds took him as a youth player from us. Ivor had retired a year or too before I started going.

I saw John Charles play for Hereford a few times, early 70s. Beast of a man, even then.
| Swansea Indepenent Poster Of The Year 2021. Dr P / Mart66 / Roathie / Parlay / E20/ Duffle was 2nd, but he is deluded and thinks in his little twisted brain that he won. Poor sod. We let him win this year, as he has cried for a whole year. His 14 usernames, bless his cotton socks.

Over to you. Who would you compare him with in modern football.? Its not easy. I am talking about playing style. Both tricky runners. [Post edited 23 May 2021 21:08]
