As has been stated in the last 24 hours that’s no time at all to prepare and plan for a new football season. 0

Excellent article. I 100% back our new manager. As I said when Potter took charge. IF we can stay up this season, with signs of progression from now on, I can deal with that. We need to stick by our aims and believe that RM and his coaching team know what they want to do. We clearly need a few players, but I truly believe that it's not many. We don't need a full squad overhaul. Bubmpy, but exciting times ahead.

Unproven manager, team full of free agents, unproven players on loan and cheap buys all this silly talk of giving the manager and team time to gel etc you guys wise up and accept the obvious outcome and just hope that against the odds something good comes out of all this but the odds are against that happening. The only cross last night was buried by a lad already fooked about by Russy. Remember ,Bidwell is seemingly not in his plans yet Grimes is seen as GREAT and undroppable. Bumpy times ahead.? Nah,they are right here.

It i excellent as you agree with the contents. I do not. It is,as expected, very eloquent and succinct and in that respect a good read. He's a good writer, even though I disagree with what he has to say. As things are NOW, we could another problematic manager . And yeah,he needs time but RIGHT NOW,this looks and sounds bad, especially as he sees nothing between Stoke and us. That is madness.

We have a gem, but then go onto say our defending from set pieces was atrocious? I assumed the article was going to go and describe some sort of hopeful signs/training ground moves that were on display in our attacking set pieces.... But there was none of that either. Just blind faith that we actually do have a 'gem'?

That’ll be it. ‘Russell Martin is a real gem’ is so outrageous.

On a far more positive slant Jasper you have fairly decent knowledge on certain areas of the club and it’s staff which should really be a part of your contribution here other than what has been spoken about today. I’m certain a few posters would embrace your knowledge should it be on here more officially, you have to take the rough with the smooth mind 👠Give me a shout. Your most welcome.

What do you think then Chief ? Is there another way in to this for Martin ? Are you already in a position of not supporting him, I mean after two weeks it’s impossible for me to see anything other than positivity. However, leaving the article to one side and your understanding of it, what is it you want to see and hear ?

| We have a real gem on our hands in Russell Martin : Set pieces analysed on 12:06 - Aug 18 with 1024 views | NotLoyal | Jasper has always been uppity, there could be more to his increasing desire to just knock something for the sake of it. Success will always bring tones of hidden jealousy, that's always the case. As for chief I think he just doesn't grasp everything you said in the piece. That's more says about him than you. Familiarity breeds contempt, I think your engagement with them is in some way giving them the attention they seek. I agree that I'm not as positive about RM as some but can't disagree with the set piece assessment. Maybe Jasper thinks he can do better? Chief, I would say not. | |

It's not a case of not supporting him. I was there last night and I certainly supported him. But that doesn't mean I can't criticise his decisions - especially when they are clearly justified. Struggling for positivity myself. Admire those that arent though in a way. [Post edited 18 Aug 2021 12:37]

Cheers for the random swipes with no actual substance to what you're saying. Very productive.

It definitely suggests there was something good about our set pieces. Which there absolutely clearly wasn't at either end.

We've spoken about this in private before. If I change my mind and want to do something I will let you know. I'm toeing a line a bit even with my unofficial contributions, sometimes I'm told things in confidence for my official role with SI/FM. Might have my number blocked by a few people if I start moonlighting as a journalist.
