Coventry City v Swansea City 2022/23 : Matchday Thread 21:04 - Dec 12 with 17278 viewsNotLoyal

Swansea City go in search of their first win since beating Cardiff City (again)

The Referee for this game is Robert Jones from Liverpool, so the players had better calm down. Sorry but it’s the best we can do. Jones will be assisted by Ian Hussin and Natalie Aspinall, with Darren Bond the fourth Official for the game. Bond had lost his magical powers since he had his hair cut. Over the last 12 months Robert Jones has refereed 29 games, comprising 9 Championship games, 16 Premier League games, 1 Club Friendlies 1 game, 2 FA Cup games and 1 EFL Cup game. In addition he has been the Fourth Official 102 times. During this period he has issued 77 yellow cards at a rate of 2.66 per game and 2 red cards at a rate of 0.07 per game.

Joe Allen fit for Coventry but Obafemi continues to be a timely mystery 16th Dec 2022 14:30
Joe Allen is fit to face Coventry City tomorrow afternoon in the first Sky Bet Championship away game for the swans since drawing against Huddersfield Town five weeks ago. In that time two victories on a short tour of Scotland for the swans gave some hope before last weeks disappointing home loss to Norwich City. 0

Coventry City not wary of Swansea at any level 17th Dec 2022 08:00
You can understand why Mark Robins and his Coventry City side are in no way apprehensive about this afternoons game against Swansea City. The sky blues are on a run of decent form and the swans really do need a win by any means necessary to get their season back on track. 0

Jekyll & Hyde Swansea City but it’s still really not working … 18th Dec 2022 08:00
Yesterday afternoons game may well have been thrilling for the neutral, and let’s be honest over the ninety minutes of football a win for the swans wouldn’t have been a surprise. Unless of course you refer to the three blinding saves in the first half from Steven Benda, the poor selection choices at the start from Russell Martin or indeed the sleepiness we again witnessed at the turnaround which put the swans 2-0 down. 0

Edit

Coventry Building Society Arena

Has been added to the end drop down selection

Number 3 shows going to the shopping Arena Park next to the stadium, so no extra walking needed as in full view of the ground.

Strange that a change of the stadium name shows different stop for the stadium

Yes, parking is available - it’s still £7

There's a large parking restriction zone around the ground on matchdays.

I'm told there is parking at a few small firms but it's pot luck if you find on

3-1 to the Swans, no chance.

The comments Robins makes are based on last season certainly regarding Piroe. We are not a good side unless the metric to determine that is possession.

I see only a defeat today which I will take as a positive if it’s a nail in Martin’s coffin.

Yet more sound bites from the manager and players but for me the time for talking the talk is over , now is the time to start transferring that onto the pitch , a 1-1 for me and grateful for it

Still no starting berth for Oko Flex or Cooper.

He certainly knows how to flog a dead horse doesn’t he?!

Just landed in New York to watch the game😉. Hope my £10 for the flight is going to be worth it. If I was a betting man…

He is obviously looking at the second half for Allen, Flex and Cooper, that tells me he thinks we could be chasing the game by then.

I just have no enthusiasm for the game, he just keeps picking a dead horse at right wing back. Might as well throw in the white towel now.
