š I see it as a gamble as well. Say the top English ladies sides were to play say a league one or two side they could get humbled. Maybe as well turn it all into a bit of a circus. It hasnāt happened in cricket to my knowledge, nor darts !

Well fallon Sherrock humbled a few men but in team sprts where physicality can make a massive difference, it won't happen. I think it would draw a few big crowds but only because of the morbid curiosity to see how many goals the men won by.

There is absolutely no benefit to the womens game of playing a mens team. The initial media may be considered positive, but when they ship double figures to a semi pro side it will only harm their growth.

Exactly. Women's football is probably the fastest growing sport in the world, it doesn't need gimmicks. I can understand some not enjoying it, in that case ignore it as I do with sports that don't interest me.

A friendly or charity match i see no problem, but football is a contact sport, in a competitive match with sliding tackles, full commitment to win a header and pushing and grabbing while defending or attacking a set play, what would happen if a man grabs a handful of shirt and there happens to be a breast underneath it, would it lead to a yellow if deemed intentional, or a straight red and having to sign a sex offender register, we would see no more Vinnie and Gazza incidents thats for sure.

Would a man go in for a full blooded challenge on a woman?

The crackers bit I was referring to was the claim of risk of sexual assault. Itās unlikely in any case with the types of sports bras the women wear. As I said I see no point in women and men playing against each other so donāt see crunching tackles as an issue.

I do know that a red card doesnāt lead to signing the sex offenders register. However, claims could lead to a form of litigation. Which is mad, but wouldnāt surprise me in this day and age. In fact Iām going to say you raise a valid point. And thatās the point which will potentially never see a men v women competitive fixture.

| How far are we away from men v women fixtures on 21:38 - Oct 13 with 990 views | ReslovenSwan1 | A mixed geer game would not be football.. The men would simply target the weakest woman player repeatedly. A not very uplifting sight. It happens in the mixed tennis games nobody is interested in. It would not be football as we know it at Kieffer Moores is put on the far post against 5 ft 2 in battler. It would be an unfair sport. | |
