Four year deal.

Hell of a turnaround that. From a free transfer to Scotland/League One/Two to a four year contract in the space of three months.

absolutely chuffed for him - grabbed the opportunity and made the shirt his own....

Clearly MW's threat not to play anyone who doesn't sign a new contract sharpish has worked!

Seriously, very pleased for him and shows what hard work, AND patience - he joined at 7 years old! - can achieve.

So proud to have a Kilburnite regular in the side.

Well done, I didn't see him being here longer than Furlong.

First bit of good news today, well done to the bloke.

My Father had a profound influence on me, he was a lunatic.

When was the last time we offered a four year contract to anyone?

Is this a sign that the club feel that they are getting more right than wrong now, and want to avoid the sort of contract wrangling's we're getting with BOS and Manning?

Anyway, chuffed for the lad and for QPR. Two quality first team right backs produced entirely through our youth ranks in the last 5 years.

Love watching Kakay.

He went to Queen's Park Community School where my son goes. Played there then in Brent set up and QPR as well of course.

There's a framed shirt in the school's foyer.

Great to see a local kid make it at Rangers.

‘Four years‘ were the words that caught my attention.

Yup the local aspect is so important in trying to attract the more talented youngsters before they get snapped up for a future in Arsenal reserves. Clear demonstrable pathway at QPR.

Good to see he has got a longer contract. For me has been a successful re-find since the lockdown.

Delighted for him. He's a lot better at this level than when he was 7.

Never knowingly right.

Pleased for him and the academy coaches. Really hope he makes the spot his own and goes from strength to strength now. He’s in the first team on merit.

I said at the time when we were going into the restart looking light that for all best laid plans made in good faith and judgement we often have a happy knack of getting something worthwhile out of hardship - necessity the mother of invention and all that. Here you go. If Ossie keeps this up it'll have been more than worth it.

It's not an exact science, this development lark. You're dealing with young people, all individuals all different. Sometimes they blossom early, sometimes late. Sometimes a little prince can't make a senior career, sometimes the least talented lad works his bllx off when he gets a chance and makes everything for himself. They'll be looking at Bettache now wondering on the fence if he needs the loan or if he's one injury to someone else away from seizing his chance and being a sensation. Or maybe he'll need a couple years to mature. Who knows. Support your bloody club.

I too was in the Brent set up, I made it as far as the schools Old Boys First XI!
Stuart Pearce was there as well although a year younger.
Anyway, good luck to the lad.

Fair play Oz

Four years of hard work ahead young man.

As stated - great to show the pathway to others, the club should be shouting and touting this around the area and adjacent postcodes.
Take note you Chelscum yoot players

Cherish and enjoy life.... this ain't no dress rehearsal

First saw him play in that Sunderland league cup game a few years ago and thought he looked quite useful considering his youth/inexperience. Found his lack of progress puzzling after that, so I'm delighted to hear this news.

Poll: QPR to finish 7th or Brentford to drop out of the top 6?

23 now, so more mature than when he got his first chance at 21. Two more years of coaching and experience and he has done very well.

The only person who won't be pleased at this news is Todd Kane. Lol.

PS Kane has another three years on his contract. Hopefully we can get a bit of competition going between them.

Good stuff. Hoping to see an insightful piece from Chris Ramsey in WLS on his system for putting players in the slow cooker.

Presumably four years offset by a "low" wage.

Gives player stability, which they would dive for in the financial climate we are going to find ourselves in whilst no money comes in...

Can we go out yet?

Ozzy was a good prospect whose confidence seemed to take a massive knock when we sent him on loan to a woeful Division 1 Chesterfield side about four seasons ago.
His recent impressive form is a testimony to his own hard work as well as that of our coaching staff.
Great to see another first teamer rolling off the Harlington production line.
