Strangely, I am optimistic.

Well that's been one of the most enjoyable halves that Rs have had this season. Leicester with all the possession but they've been sloppy. Mainly, because we've pressed them well.
Their goal was unfortunate, with a huge deflection off Albert.
Ours was down to persistence. Albert twice, then Dykes with header cleared off line, followed by a sweet strike from Dozzell.
I hope we can keep it up but when we are doing so much chasing it doesn't seem.likely. |  |

Definitely looking better than anyone on here (including me) expected. 1-1 and their goal was a lucky deflection. Leicester have looked more composed but they haven't looked any more likely to score than us.

Not a bad half from us there, they were only marginally better than us in their attacking play. They got a lucky deflection for their goal and it went in off the post I think. Great strike from Dozzell after Dykes was close. We look well organised at the back and Leicester have struggled to break us down and we have pressed them well in their back line. | | | |

We're just so happy to be on the same pitch with such a great team.
This season is seriously pssing me off as there is still so much slop in this league. Ipswich weren't all that and this lot certainly aren't all that and yet we are 'kin abysmal. Shape is OK for a team desperate not to concede too many, but utterly shocking going forward. No creativity, no intelligent runs. Yep, we've had a few shots today, but how far out have they all been?
Yep, they are going to cruise this league, so "what did I expect", but this is far from good.
They will come back out on the front foot and we will come back hoping to soak it all up and catch them on the break. WE ARE AT HOME FFS!
<20% possession. It doesn't feel like that is the case to be fair, but sitting back allowing wave after wave will only end up one way. Commentators were saying that their goal came out of the blue because Begovic hadn't made a save, but that much pressure with the ball will lead to more clear cut chances than our bang it from distance tactic.

1-1 is at least a bit heartening, and we've deserved it, which shows what knobs we can all be in trying to predict this gloriously inpredictable game, but Dykes has been an embarrassment for an international player, what with that left foot 'shot' to try to chip their keeper and then the 'speculative' one with his right that went for a throw. We need him off the books in January, and to sign almost any kind of forward if this club actually wants to score goals rather than relegate itself. [Post edited 28 Oct 2023 16:02]
