Vale is such a strange player, can have moments of technical brilliance but games can easily pass him by. Am hoping today he is dropping deeper and spreading the ball about.
How Lloyd has come on that we are all disappointed he is not in the squad.

Varane, Madsen, Saito, Kone - looks quite strong to me given our injuries. Not much in defence on the bench but given absences we are down to Harry’s “bare bones”.

I understand why you are saying that the bench looks lightweight and it is compared to recent matches, but for us to be saying the bench looks lightweight, when you have Madsen, Varane, Kone and Saito, is quite remarkable tbf. |  |
