Obviously inspired by the current Shroedinger's player, Justin Obikwu.
Players who were signed ostensibly for the senior squad but never played (so the likes of youth players like the infamous Shimmin and Hislop are ruled out).
Number one is incontestably Richard Ord. Two years without a single appearance, never again played another minute of professional football.
Ned Zelic is also a shoe in, a club record signing who made four appearances. At least he was gone relatively quickly.
Armel Tchakounté: signed to help us along to the Premier League. Did he make an appearance? Even Wikipedia can't decide if it's four or none.
Taylor Richards: No one needs nor wants any reminders here.
I'm sure there are more belters I haven't thought of, probably signed by Harry Redkapp. What do we have?
Some international top talents have come to QPR and done so well here
Osvaldo Ardiles 8 games 0 goals Vinnie Jones 9 games 1 goal Neil Ruddock 7 games 0 goals Rio Ferdinand 12 games 0 goals Keiron Dyer 8 games 2 goals Mark Bosnich 0 games 0 goals Steve Hodge 15 games 0 goals Peter Reid 29 games 1 goal Andros Townsend 12 games 2 goals Ji Sung Park 20 games 0 goals
The ultimate superstar though undoubtedly was and now plying his trade as a ballroom dancer, step forward,
I can name 4 from the same game away at Leeds in 05/06:
Phil Barnes Keith Lowe Andy Taylor Marcin Kus
I remember seeing that Starting XI and genuinely thought I'd lost my mind, Leon Clarke also made his first debut for us in that game. I think a few of them were emergency loans.

Big time winner here was our very own boy wonder - TOM HITCHCOCK came on at home to Ipswich 83rd minute at nil nil and got the only goal of the game in the 90th minute, at age 17. Two yard screamer.
Had one further appearance in the EFL CUP the following season and that was that.
Much better goals to game ratio than our very own Rayan Kolli, but that was that !!!

Wasn't that when Redknapp was making a point "you have to buy me more strikers I'm so bare bones I've got to put this youngster on" and then he scored?

Not sure how many appearances he made. But he had a shocker away at Port Vale in the 03/04 promotion season. Started at right back. We quickly conceded twice from attacks down that side of our defence. He was switched to centre back to stop the bleeding, and then subbed off at half time. I don’t think he was ever seen again.
Not Ollie’s finest hour.

Released from Crawley in the summer, where remarkably he made 19 appearances and scored three goals.
Worse than that, albeit probably not surprising is he actually turned down a new deal there, ended up doing the PFA travelling summer roadshow and now unemployed.

Ian Muir 2 games 2 goals and then released by Venables in 1983. He went on to score over a 100 goals for Tranmere.
Dougie Freedman. No games and released to go on and score loads for Crystal Palace, Forest and Barnet amongst other clubs.
Brian Murphy goalkeeper 2 games.
I had forgotten about Dougie Freedman.
He was unfortunate to be coming through the youth setup at the same time as Kevin Gallen and Danny Dichio who were just ahead of him in the pecking order. We'll never know how good those three together might have been for us in the first team.

In May 2006, QPR announced that Ukah had joined the Italian club Nuorese Calcio on a three-year contract. However, in November 2006, Ukah was suddenly listed as being back at QPR, with no explanation from the club. He was finally released from his contract and left the club in January 2007.

Modibo Maiga. We had him on loan from Wham and he even scored on his Rangers debut.
Apparently, he played for us as many as eight times. I really didn't think he made more than a couple.
"Things had started becoming increasingly desperate at Loftus Road but QPR have been handed a massive lifeline and the place has absolutely erupted. it's carnage. It's bedlam. It's 1-1."

We signed a CB from Sheff Wed a Div 1 side called Vic Mobley back in the 1960's......a very decent CB. Paid very good money for him back in the day. We were in Div 2.
Played only a few games for us and had to retire with knee problems, shame really because many supporters were expecting big things from him.

He played 25 games, over 2 seasons. Don't think he counts.

The already mentioned Fernando De Ornelas played four matches for us in 2003. He is now a pastor/priest here in Norway. His nickname was Fernando De Pastorales when he played in Norway. :)
