Ted Hendrix update 17:22 - Oct 19 with 2842 viewswestberksr

as there was some chat as to how Ted is doing I got in touch with his son David directly for a discrete update.

I had been to footy with David & Ted a few times and had some work contact with David, so it wasn't too random an inquiry.

Ted's health is, as expected, deteriorating and he is now being cared for in a hospice. He is getting great care and has all of his family with him, but further than that I didn't ask.

I'm sure we will get an update from his lads when there is further news; both used to be on the old site, and possibly this one, but haven't posted for many years.

This is incredibly sad news, even if expected. Ted had been pretty frank as to the prognosis, but that doesn't make it any easier to accept.

I told David that everyone will be devastated to hear this and to send very best wishes from all of us here to Ted and the family.

Thank you for the update WestBerks....sobering stuff. If any of his son's are reading this, then I sent Ted a pm via LFW earlier, but obviously much bigger fish to fry than trying to dig that out.

Personally, I have never met you myself, but your straightforward common sense approach has been greatly appreciated on here.

Have had a few challenges myself recently, no where near at the levels you are currently facing, but your advice to either leave here, take a break or simply take things slower, was a massive help to me and at rhe time, I had no idea myself, what you were actually facing.

The world totally needs more Ted's.

Terribly sad news for him and his family.. like a lot on here I never knew Ted... but there is a good chance that over the years we saw each other in passing.

However long Ted as left I hope with all my heart... that he is pain-free and surrounded by love... he will certainly have that front his QPR family

To the OP if and when there is a need for some kind of tribute sent... I would be more than happy to contribute as I'm sure a lot would
