Wouldn't make a blind bit of difference, it's a long way from the scrubs to warren farm, and they're in different boroughs. There are also several tracks in between already. We'd certainly have to build replacement facilities elsewhere in H&F. [Post edited 1 Jan 1970 1:00]

Have said a few times that the MOD owning the land would be the biggest obstacle in this although with all the cuts to the forces these days maybe they would sell it , the land the linford christie sits on isnt big enough for a 20k stadium let alone a 45k stadium and assocaited bits that will be added onto it.
couple with the access issues etc east acton station would need millions spent on it which would prove difficauly as its one of the smallest stations on the central line and built alongside the railway line so bloody hard to expand it let alone make the paltforms bigger

I think the MoD would want to keep it as a back up, they've already sold nearly every other site in London. Also, as I said before, it would probably need an act of parliament to overturn the original act that created the scrubs. That would be very unlikely also.
That's why I asked if the track was on the scrubs or was actually a separate piece of land. If it's the former then there are all sorts of obstacles that could easily kill this off. | | | |

The Unigate depot would be ideal and I think if the club have not given this serious consideration they are overlooking an ideal site.
Can’t see the Linford Christie stadium working due to the aforementioned points. But then again if we are in the position to throw money at it then anything is possible. Money talks.

Charing x is loosing its A&E. The roads round there are already rammed each rush hour. The hospital owns the parking next door and has its haematology centre and wards practically on the running track.

i suspect the section 106 agreement (thats the money that public bodies take of developeres to offset the impact of the scheem) will include an upgrade to East Action station.I saw the photo above, and there seems to be room to widen the platforms relatively easily - but not necessarily cheaply! |  |

This plus the new stations just to the north of the Scrubs and within easy walking distance. The area is blessed with fantastic rail links, other new grounds (Reading, Southampton) don't have any rail links within miles let alone a few hundred yards. |  |

Used to work at the hospital and used East Acton everyday. It's also raised above street level which would make any extensions/adaptions really expensive. | |
