Excellent news. He deserves it.

It's another commitment by the owners. Thank you to them.

MW and his coaching staff doing an excellent job and this is well deserved. I hope he stays with us for a long time.

This is all going rather well!

And if he gets offered a job he can't refuse, which is becoming more likely with his success, we should at least get some compensation.

A 1 year extension as per the rolling contract deal?

The grass is always greener.

I'm happy with that. Bit of stability and going in the right direction. What's not to like.?

It doesn't say a 1 year extension - just that he will be offered a new contract. So I suspect it will be new terms for him and maybe moving to a fixed longer-term deal.

Should be offered the most improved contract offer

Clearly the most important cog in the wheel by far !!!

Hope no premier league strugglers poach our man with big bucks but from hearing podcasts with Warburton, he very wealthy anyway ie successful city career, so hope as seems he more interested in seeing his hard yards comebto fruition here

I confident we are the right fit for him also...

Great news. Great manager, great backroom staff and an increasingly great squad playing almost great football.

Never knowingly right.

We appear to have for the first time since the early/mid-eighties, a structure, a system, a continuity, a playing staff and a management hierarchy in place that bodes very well for the immediate/ medium term future. I say this with the utmost respect to (almost) all the managers who have been there in the intervening period (with the obvious exceptions of Hughes and Redknapp) for the work they did in often difficult/ludicrous circumstances. Particular hat tip to Warnock for what he achieved, but that was more a case of him wielding his Championship magic, rather than any solid plan in place.

Obviously the biggest difference between 2021 and 40 years ago (seriously? ouch!) is the advent of the internet and social media and the difficulty in keeping a lid on the expectations and hype. We haven't achieved anything yet; winning or drawing a couple of 'meaningless friendlies , albeit against top teams and playing quality football, is of no value. Many 'twits' will lose their shit if we don't hit Millwall for 6 on Saturday as ridiculous as that sounds. But while we must take a more measured approach than that, I think we can be justifiably optimistic for the season ahead and a top six finish is, I believe achievable. But even if we fall short, we need to continue to believe in the process, because this is a very good time to be a QPR fan. We can puff out our chests, rather than making self-deprecating jokes and that is enough for me right now.

For me personally he's the best fit of manager for this club in its current position.

A manager who somehow not just manages to fit two number 10s into the team, but does it to extremely great effect playing the type of football that most fans of clubs at our level can only dream of.

I haven't been so excited about a season since 2011.
