| Hull Reflection 17:20 - Nov 22 with 9439 views | bluenwhite10 | I feared the worse today when we went behind twice, but the team showed real character coming from behind. Soft goals to let in, Clarke-Salter not showing enough strength for second and Hamer should not of been beaten at the near post. That’s the negatives out the way as we had far more positives. Created lots of opportunities, quality balls into the box today. Lots of good performances today but MOM today Chair | | | | |

| Hull Reflection on 18:10 - Nov 22 by Ned_Kennedys | Thought both full backs did well today and weren’t afraid to get forward to attack. Hope we are going all out to sign Norrington-Davies in n January: despite everyone having low expectations the guy is a solid 7/10 every week and Wilder clearly doesn’t rate him as he hardly played for them the last few years. |
I was very sceptical of the RND signing but I have to say he’s proved an upgrade on Paal and would be pretty happy to see him signed permanently. Very solid LB for this level.

It was an atrocious day and we could have easily dropped our heads going behind twice, but we didn't and showed great spirit Chair definitely had his best game for us this season and wouldn't disagree re MOTM... though I thought Varane had a really good game as well The subs made a huge impact. Kolli was a real live wire, but I thought Morgan at RB was superb... made 3 or 4 really good challenges... and show good positioning very impressive Negatives I still would like us to.press more. We never seem to press as a unit. And against better teams we would be in real trouble Kone looks totally lost out there. He desperately needs a goal. But we won and that is all that matters really after our dismal run

| Hull Reflection on 21:18 - Nov 22 with 2594 views | Hunterhoop | Chair was exceptional tonight. And for all his faults, Dembele had a good game. Personally, again, I thought Varane was poor. Watch his “contribution” for their first back on replay. Bloke is coasting. Love RND. Thought Morgan and Kolli had excellent cameos. Cook did a good job defensively when he came on. Hull are pony. | | | |

Dembele did well: probably our best player in the first half. Thought Varane did better in the second half and played his part. All the subs did well but Kolli should’ve buried his opportunity. Hull are in the playoffs and have exceeded expectations this season: certainly not ‘pony’
| Hull Reflection on 21:33 - Nov 22 with 2478 views | nadera78 | An entertaining albeit low quality game of football. Terrible first goal to give away, with mistakes from Kone, Varane, JCS and Hamer, and I wasn't too pleased with their second either for that matter. But we showed a fair bit of character today to come back twice and then again to hold out at the end. That's very welcome because it's not something we see from them that often, I think a lot of us consider the team to be a bit 'fair weather'. I still don't think the midfield is set up very well, it doesn't protect the back four enough and often leaves the defenders exposed, whilst at the same time not advancing the ball particularly well. Needs some work. But you can't really argue with 5 goals and 3 points. That's a good day out. Roll on Blackburn. | | | |
| Hull Reflection on 21:40 - Nov 22 with 2450 views | EuroRanger | A tough game with the weather absolutely thrashing down. Ball was skidding about all over the game which lead to a lot of chances. Two cheap goals to give away, especially the first where Hamer should make the save. Made up for it with a cracker of a save in the second half. We did well to hold together and go on to get the win we deserved. No real poor performances - Varane had a weaker first half but looked good inthe second. Chair was the standout and Dembelé started to look more like the player we all fell in love with. If he can sort out his end product he's going to be great. At the end of the day, a good win against a decent side makes the weekend feel so much sweeter... | | | | Login to get fewer ads
| Hull Reflection on 07:40 - Nov 23 with 1980 views | GaryBannister86 | Thought when 0-1 down and 2-1 down there was a real precipice moment there and that the players seemed a bit flat and a bit lost. However, what a pleasure to see them dig in, turn it around and in the end should really have won by many more. I do wish Stephan would find a back 4 and stick to it. Dunne at CB and Mbengue at RB seems to work, was bemused for JCS to be thrown straight back in. Genuinely think a settled back 4 may have kept a clean sheet today. Burrell was fantastic; I absolutely love him and the impact he has on a game. Never, ever stops running and busting a gut. Wonderful. Really impressed with Dembele too, just keep improving that decision making - when he passed rather than shot we got the rewards. And of course Chair - the man needs a run of games and we know from past evidence he just gets better and better. Excellent day in the end. :-) | | | |
| Hull Reflection on 07:57 - Nov 23 with 1938 views | dmm | For me, that was the most enjoyable game of the season so far. Two sides playing gung ho football was great to see, and to come from behind to win with Burrell's goal in front of the Loft is pretty much as good as it gets. Watching the highlights JCS was partly at fault for both of Hull's goals, particularly the second. I think a fully up to speed JCS would have done better but he'll no doubt be a big plus for us as he eases back in. Hull's first was also Hamer's fault in getting beaten at the near post - reminded me of Dieng - but he made up for it late on with that instinctive blank range save. | | | |
| Hull Reflection on 08:23 - Nov 23 with 1858 views | dutch | Enjoyable game of football and Chair was immense. Those on here saying we didn't press I think are missing the point. It was clearly intentional to let them pass it around at the back and hold a deeper line just into their half. That means when you you win the ball there's room to run beyond them, which we did on many occasions. The high press is appropriate against some teams, but it was the right decision not to employ it much today. | | | |
| Hull Reflection on 08:47 - Nov 23 with 1752 views | JamesB1979 | 3 points against a side that would have gone 3rd with a win and were in good form. We looked good going forward and created chances. We got 60 minutes out of JCS after 11 months out. Chair and Dembele looking good. Sounds like Walsh is back, so whilst not best selection of goalies we have options for the manager. Enough positives for me. | | | |

Yes, the lack of pressing was frustrating but I assume it was our plan to let them come at us and then hit them on the break. If that's so, it's a risky strategy as arguably their second goal came from giving them too much time and space to move forward. However, we certainly did look great coming forward ourselves. Will be interesting to see whether we press against other teams.

Proper exciting attacking football, though we made it hard work. Now need to back it up and keep those performances coming against teams who'll make life harder for us. [Post edited 23 Nov 10:06]

| Hull Reflection on 10:27 - Nov 23 with 1410 views | mart_Goblin | Called it the best worst game of football I’ve ever seen. Could have been 6-4. The conditions added to the huge lack of quality, but also added to the excitement and chances at both ends . Hugely enjoyable but last 10 minutes hugely excruciating. What a strange match but lovely to wake up to a win this morning . Well chuffed . As been said already Chair excellent all round . Dembele showed us the player he could be if he just gets his decision making right . RND very good again . Upgrade on Paal and then some . It was a battle but we dug in in horrific conditions . At the full time whistle , I’ve never seen the paddocks empty so quick . It was like a starting gun | | | |
| Hull Reflection on 10:27 - Nov 23 with 1409 views | daveB | Dembele was excellent yesterday, caused them a lot of problems and worked harder going backwards as well. He was helped by Mbengue getting forward with him and creating space for him It was just a really enjoyable game, we could have scored 6 goals in this one and Hull played their part they were alright as well It wasn't perfect but never is, been a long time since we attacked as well as that though, looked like scoring every time we went forward | | | |

| Hull Reflection on 19:14 - Nov 22 by numptydumpty | How on earth did you see that we won againat the run of play. If it was based on the run of play, we won comfortably. Far more dangerous than Hull throughout for me. You are entitled to your opinion 1968 , of course, but not sure what game you were watching today. Anyhow we won and played well too. It will do for me. [Post edited 22 Nov 19:17]

The stats were odd; by HT we'd had something like 12 shots and they'd had 2 or 3. One of which had gone in. I turned to the fellas behind me to show them Hull immediately scored their second.... What I liked though is that Rangers kept pushing for equaliser then for the winner. Great movement from the entire outfieled team on and off the ball. I love the fact that towards the end we had Morgan, Burrell and Kolli on the field at the same time doubling down on pace, really pushing and prodding what must have been a very tired defence. Absolutely NOT what I has expecting and caps off a great football week for me what with Scotland putting 4 past Denmark and then QPR having no less than 26 shots. Two very entertaining games. Makes it all worthwhile.

Rose tinted glasses there. He conceded 3 and if he was our keeper there would be a thread about him
