The Expertise From Jenkins D.O.F Strikes Again? 12:19 - Nov 20 with 3579 viewsWingstandwood

Quote Cork: Of the decision to sell him, and going on to pick up international honours, he added:

"I think it maybe wasn’t his (Clement's) decision.
"They bought me for £1.5million, the bid came in from Burnley, which was a lot more than they paid, and they were obviously trying to raise money to bring more midfield players in.

Most on here said at the time it was a good deal.

Jenkins is a tw*t of the highest order, but Clement hasn't utilised the replacements in Mesa and Clucas correctly.

That’s fair. If Mesa was turning up trees we’d all be going “Jack who?”

Jack Cork was bang average for us. Leon was and still is a better option for us. Case closed, and move on. F*cking hell.

Its not certain players coming and going thats the crux of the matter for me.

It's the fact Cork seems to be suggesting the vital transfer policy of a PL club is something our manager has no input/influence over. A failed UPVC guttering/facia board, barge board supplier steering the ship into the rocks, sound, sensible practice? A club where tens of millions of Pounds has been p#ssed down the drain.

And also? The fact a club that made a mega profit in the last transfer window had to sell to raise funds. This was the next level?

Agree.

I think Cork has pretty much confirmed what most of us already knew, Jenkins calls the shots and clement has minimal input to player signings.

Where the fook is the logic in getting rid of Cork who was probably on 40 k a week and replacing with Clucas for £17 m who is probably on 60 k a week and is no better.

This is now looking carbon copy of Laudrups last months here, once his power had gone he just cruised toward his sacking , not a good way to treat players, coaches or fans and it all points to Jenkins yet again.

It won't happen but i wish Clement would resign and not sign a NDA then spill the beans on what goes on at the club .RE players .

The Mesa situation is a total joke, Clucas is also another mad one, especially when it meant losing our only full back cover in Kingsley too !

It's all a bit bonkers and money is the root of it all.

It is one absolute crazy situation down these parts!.. Why?... Why?... Why have the Yanks still not learnt that giving Jenkins power and veto is about as sensible as giving a hyperactive four year old a Stanley Knife to play with.

It’s Kamikaze-surreal and beggars belief.

Superb business. Who on here has made £8.5m profit in one deal?

Anyhow, much as Jack has played better for us in the past than Fer or Clucas have been, our problems are not because we sold Jack Cork. Not even close.

I'm convinced the septics think Jenkins is doing an incredible job, they are obviously clueless in football terms, as mentioned above , buying Cork for £2m and selling him for £10m is the yanks wet dream, problem is we spend more on a worse replacement. The rub must be that the money on our replacement is probably spread out over a number of years and burnley probably paid up straight a way for Cork.

Cash flow init .

Jack Cork is one of those players that looks as good as the team playing around him and as good as his Manager encourages him to be.
Which is no surprise that he DOESN'T LOOK BANG AVERAGE at Burnley, but he did while he was here.
They abviously saw his potential to pay £10M for him.
We payed £17M for Clucas and have never played him in his proper role, says it all really.

If Mesa had come good we'd still be looking for one more decent midfielder based on Clucas, Carroll, Sanches and Fer's form.

If we had 11 average premier league players we'd finish mid table.

The creatures outside looked from pig to man, and from man to pig, and from pig to man again; but already it was impossible to say which was which.

Suberb business deal in silo. Take in the £16m spent to replace him with Clucas and it's not so clever. Your logic I assume extends to selling Siggy and Llorente for large profits also as 'superb' deals, until we spunk the money on championship players and get relegated. Superb.

Err, the whole point of this thread is that Cork said it was not clements choice.

Of course when that choice is made you look at the other aspects .

"i think it maybe wasn't his decision "

I love these people who say Clueless and Mesa haven't be used correctly, what is their correct position?

They are both central midfielders that cost us £30mil plus what the fuk do they want.

We are in the shit big time so when they get a chance they need to work their socks off and get on with it.

Jack Cork is a better midfielder than both of these boys full stop and it was a huge mistake to sell him.
