Sold down the river again. 17:44 - Jan 31 with 8776 viewsmagicdaps10

Ayew coming in, with money owed by West Ham to us offsetting the final fee and a cheap option in Andy King.

20M aside with an extra 10M from investors.....these guys are just a bunch of lying tw@ts.

Get out of our club.

People need to stop talking about this "money owed offsetting the fee" crap. That's not the correct way of looking at it, at all.

If we sign Ayew for £18m, then we've spent £18m, regardless of whether £18m in cash is transferred to West Ham or not.

We were told 3 players at the start of January. We’ve since sold Mesa and looks like we’re replacing with king. So basically the manager has been handed only one of the 3 signings needed if it stays this way.

But we haven't just sold Mesa, we no longer have Fulton as backup for Cup games.
We still have no backup for the backs either, other than Roberts.

Also nobody seems to factor in that there are huge costs around any transfer not disclosed. Agent fees, player sell on percentages, legal costs, contract bonuses etc. Add this to the running costs of the club (wages of all staff, maintenance, loan repayments etc), I'd be surprised if 1/3 of the money of any transfer we have in is actually made available.

Poor financial management by Jenkins and those who made the decisions, led us to the point where they accepted the first offer on the table when selling the club. Now I for one don't expect the new owners to fork out big money on players from their own pocket, especially after the way they have gone about their business too.

In the summer we sold Sigurdsson 37 Llorente 15 Cork 10 that's 62 million approx.
We bought Clucas 16 Bony 13 Messa 11 that's 40 million before you include the loan fees and signing on fees.

The 20 odd million surplus is going on Ayew.
Providing he signs.

You also need to add to that whatever we've paid to buy out the contracts of Siggy, Llorente, Cork etc.

Exactly. The outstanding money from West Ham for Ayew was sold on this time last year. Whatever Ayew costs is what we pay.

Andre Ayew’s value has dropped considerably in 18 months. Transfer values have pretty much doubled in that time and we sold him for £20M and are buying him back for up to £18M.

If players are sold and they don't put in a transfer request they get bonuses.
I think that's what he is getting at.

Because they didn’t ask for transfers. It’s called a ‘loyalty’ payment.

Problem is it looks suspiciously like the main reason we're going for Ayew.
It's got to be shady hasn't it? Who really knows what the real deal is?

Hundreds of other good attacking players out there, but we choose one who we sold, but are still owed money for. Everyone can make their own mind up on that.
