Ah bang on Loh, I went from a teenager at the start of the 80's to a dad with 3 kids by the end of it!! Top rank, ritzys valbonne, martha's Baron, Dora's , I cringe at some of the clothes I wore then

I wish I still had some of my clothes from the ‘80s, or I wish I could get similar for the price they were then, I should say. Most of my jackets and ties etc.. came from this place, I used to love it in there!

The pretty, shitty city in the ‘80s on 00:41 - Jun 4 with 5807 views | pikeypaul | Levi's are now cheaper than in 1988 also I remember paying £45 for an adidas tracksuit top around the same time I can buy similar today for 1/2 the price. Cloths these days are so cheap in real terms than in the 80s. [Post edited 4 Jun 2018 0:42]

The pretty, shitty city in the ‘80s on 07:54 - Jun 4 with 5695 views | Pegojack | Halcyon days for me. Lived in Swansea from 1983 to 1989 in Newton, just up from Caswell Bay. Worked in BSC Tinplate at Velindre, then later at an advertising agency in Penarth where I used to commute up the M4 every day. Pub of choice was the White Rose when it was a proper pub, also the Pilot. Got into that place on the original marina a lot, the Waterside Cafe? Bar on ground floor, restaurant on second, disco on top. Also used to frequent that American diner opposite Joes on St Helens Road, what was it called? Records from Derricks, natch. Bought clothes in My Fathers Moustache but (sorry Lol) mostly Next in Cardiff, shoes from Jones Shoes. [Post edited 4 Jun 2018 7:57]

That's it Dicky, essential listening. I left my job with British Steel to go work for a bloke who had a studio next to Swansea Sound in Gorseinon. He had a business copying the Top 20 pop videos from a master tape every week which he used to supply to pubs and clubs in the area for their video jukeboxes (remember them?). It took me about four weeks to realise he was stark raving bonkers, and I resigned to join the dole queue. The daft things we do when we're young.

Not Spielberg was it?? Used to love the adverts on there. ECB, myself and Llangy have mentioned them on here over the years " you don't have to walk miles and miles when you can go to tailor's tiles"
