We were always led to believe as nippers the cowboys were the good guys .

Yes indeed.

The American treatment of the Native Americans was a disgraceful period of history.

You'll have to ask the people who want to ban it. I'm not one of them.

You have to have a pretty perverse world view to think the Zulus were the aggressors though.

I know it was their land and they were defending it and fighting for their freedom.

All I 'm saying is that in the case of Rorke's Drift, the defenders were fighting for their lives.

You're right.

F*cking Africans should apologize to us really.

That could be the latest crusade for the anti PC types.

Being offended by proxy is the new rock’n’roll.

You had people scouring twitter on here looking for things to be offended about the other day.

Needless to say I swiftly logged off.

I find that offensive to people that feel offended at other people being offended by people that are not offended by people who are offensive to people that don't give a f*ck.

I doubt anyone is offended at anyone being faux offended.

Just people noting they need to grow up... while being slightly amazed at the state of this internet and social media driven society where people fall over themselves to virtue signal to make themselves feel better at every given opportunity.

Similar to people scouring random local news websites to find things that people are outraged about so that they can be outraged about that outrage. I agree, it’s weird.

Do you think that pc should carry on in all films?

Every war film, historical drama, political drama, religious drama etc. could be found offensive from someone's point of view.

We'll have nothing left. It's all a matter of opinion.

Yeah I keep reading that on here, I don’t see anyone being outraged at people being outraged though. It sounds catchy, but doesn’t quite represent the reality.

Someone being amazed at faux outrage culture, doesn’t mean they are outraged. If those people were outraged I would imagine we would be lobbying for their silencing instead of looking on in sheer bemusement.

But yes, weird.

I never watched the movie nor do I care to. And I don't know whether it'd be considered racist as I'm not black or African to give a credible opinion..However..

What's with idiots running around getting offended because some people got offended about something that doesn't concern them? You all say oh my PC crap etc etc but look how you're all acting..

"oh no I'm so offended because other people have opinions and feelings that couldn't possibly relate to me and my life! Yet I'm going to huff and puff and complain about liberalism and remain campaigners all the while b!tching about how many coloured and immigrants do we have in our countries nowadays tsk tsk"

F*ck off the lot of you..If some people found something offensive you suck it up and move on..It's not hate speech or racism or anything against whites so really..stay out of it.

It's our history, not only Welsh but British.

The Warwickshire Regt featured were based in Wales with many Welsh soldiers within it. The more we allow these soft, melting snowflakes to dictate what we can and can't watch the more restrictions are applied and the more controlled we become.

Manna for me though, Clase. I can go in to work tomorrow and say “look what the lefties want to do.” You know, don’t you, you can bet the house on a proposed ban on the screening of Zulu being met with blank incomprehension melding to genuine anger in this neck of the woods, especially. It couldn’t have played out better if Jess Phillips had proposed a ban on draught bitter!

Thank you, Libtards; thank you, Trots. xx

I hadn't..But I trust what other posters are saying about it..And if it was actually considered racist by some people from African origins..Well I'm not African so probably I wouldn't really understand what's racist and why.

You have a warped view of racism, indicative of the society and victim culture we live in, in which constantly shows you are not alone in that incorrect view of racism.

Racism is not really subjective. Racism is intent, it is a belief or an action based on that belief (that one race is intrinsically superior to another). That means it is not up for someone else to decide if something is racist based on if they are offended or not, it is down to the reasoning behind the the utterance or action which can only be accurately portrayed by the person who said/did it or failing that the balance of evidence to suggest one way or another regarding the belief or motivation behind it.

As the ever refreshing Ricky Gervais puts it:- Just because you are offended, it doesn’t mean you are right.
