Yes totally agree. .. I was recommended the continental for a Christmas eve breakfast, clear and tidy with a good service and very good selection with reasonable prices to match
Breakfast in Swansea on 10:24 - Jan 18 with 3253 views | jack2jack | Try Sams down the bottom of Oxford Street , opposite Joe's. For 6 or 7 quid you get a tidy amount and tea or coffee thrown in. The staff are tidy and the decor is pleasant.👠

Not for everyone, but if you’re going on a big session and want stodge and plenty of it, I’d have to agree with LR. Uplands Diner definitely

Breakfast in Swansea on 11:08 - Jan 18 with 3178 views | pikeypaul | Most are pretty much alike although we all have our favourites for various reasons but If I were you would just go where is most convenient to safe time, being a one off. It sounds like your in a group and heading towards Wind Street, just go into the Bank statement the large breakfast is passable and very cheap and you have the bonus you can have a pint with it also plenty of other food options,Breakfast stops being served at noon.If you are more picky wonder over to the market and ask any store holder where Adrian's breakfast cafe is. The Breakfasts in Bistrot Pierre in Mumbles have taken off in the last few months if your down that area,a bit more expensive but better quality and a great view if eating upstairs. Got to be the Continental Café. 10 minutes walk from the train station and then 2 mins walk to Wind St. Also food is great and good value.

Neither do Frankie and Bennys ( they surely can't claim that as food)

You are correct, it used to be very good, however the last visit, was exactly that, the last. Not sure if it's had a change of manager or whatever, but it's certainly gone down hill. Just my opinion obviously. [Post edited 18 Jan 2019 17:43]

They stopped doing food when they had a refurb. I can’t think of anywhere now in the city centre where you can get good pub grub.

It's no wonder the company faced liquidation recently. If there's a gang of you in Wind st itself then try Tinos. Another good place is Revolution Bar,nice and big and a tidy menu.
