Sorry for new thread,
But how bad do you lot reckon it’s going to get here in the UK?
I just been watching the news. Looking nasty in Italy.

My methods are not favoured by some but by god i speak the truth.

He's definitely done plenty of stoking but to answer Jim, he is the PM so he would obviously get priority.

Just my opinion, but WTF do I know anyway?

Can anyone confirm please

I thought I heard a virologist from Lancaster, talking about the virus suspending in the air for up to 2 hours. Now I understood it could be suspended in air for a short period (and potentially be breathed in and cause infection). Bad enough even if for a minute or so. However if it can remain suspended in air for up to 2 hours then that has serious implications even just for us tramping round supermarkets without masks for e.g. let alone medics (especially given symptomless / low symptom carriers).

I think (hope) I must have only picked up part of the interview and he was perhaps comparing it to the massively infectious measles virus which is indeed said to potentially remain in the air for up to 2 hours.

Will those MPs on sick leave now get just £2500 a month?

Swansea Indepenent Poster Of The Year 2021. Dr P / Mart66 / Roathie / Parlay / E20/ Duffle was 2nd, but he is deluded and thinks in his little twisted brain that he won. Poor sod. We let him win this year, as he has cried for a whole year. His 14 usernames, bless his cotton socks.

Why would that be? When I was on sick leave my company paid me in full.

It can be detected up to 3 hours, hopefully not in sufficient quantities to infect you after that time.

I still say it is better to wear a mask like most Asian countries, but I know nothing, just ask the other posters on here.

Think it would need P3 to prevent aerosol

But IMHO anything better than nothing (when used with care). I think the real concern is not to detract from availability of masks to frontline medics. Although protection of more vulnerable groups important for them and medics.

Of course eyes still an issue.

Still probably best not to resurrect this circular argument :)

Seeing what's been happening in France, Italy and Spain it's a worry where we will be at in a week or so time.

That would be Mo Munir. I know him. He is an influenza specialist. Mostly chickens. He is OK, but Lancaster is a backwater of infectious disease research.m. Good environmental microbiologists

He’s been tested and is positive. People seem to have different symptoms at different times.

No doubt BoJo (and others in the chain of command) are being physically vetted almost daily. Just one symptom probably would have prompted the test.

Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back.

Hasn't Jim worked on some of the last Blast Furnaces operating in the UK, doesn't Jim do an important job in one of our hospitals, I think Jim does more for the country than Boris and I'm being serious as well, Boris is just a figure head who is told what to say and even then the baffoonery comes out in him.

Our daughter has been ill with the symptoms for 3 days, cough, shivering, nausea and dizziness, got through to the local surgery, doctor rang back and spoke to her and was more or less certain she has the virus, told her if it gets any worse to ring 999 for an ambulance....worrying time.
