Would make a good headline Gordon banks saved debenhams Barclays mainly, one of the banks we bailed out, now they want Welsh taxpayers to help them with debenhams [Post edited 25 Apr 2020 13:56]

Yes it is. It’s a dead company using a government decision as an excuse not to reopen already unprofitable stores in Wales. And you fell for it. Mug.

I didn't think we'd bailed out Barclays? It's irrelevant really. I never saw the attraction of Debenhams anyway, it always seemed over priced to me. I don't see it as Westmister v the Senedd anyway, I see them as just as bad as each other and if we have to pay for tqually useless politicians I'm much rather only have to pay forone lot. Making us pay for more than one level of incompetent politicians really is taking the mick. Besides, Online has been killing these big store based businesses for years, a slow, painful death.

The London Government v WAG on 17:18 - Apr 25 with 1346 views | PozuelosSideys | Throwing good money after bad there. They are already in administration, and any monies given to them are unlikely to be recouped as there be a long list of debtors. Better to keep the cash and target smaller companies who are in a far better mid to long term position to turn things around after this thing has ended. Debenhams will be broken up shortly. For once the WAG are doing the taxpayers a favour.
