There’s probably two sides to that. While I don’t doubt there was some kind of mutiny, or that Monk benefitted exponentially, Laudrups unremarkable managerial career and number of clubs he’s worked at don’t look great.

I'd put Martinez as the greatest (too young for Toshack), but certainly Laudrup put the finishing pieces in place and produced our finest ever team. I believe he could have evolved the team and taking us further as well with the right backing.
Shameful the way he was treated.
That West Brom game was the pinnacle for me, I watched it in a pub but couldn't stop myself from standing up and applauding spontaneously throughout. Perfect football. |  |

Although having a regular training session where the players tried to hit the crossbar (on penalty of having to drive in an embarrassing car) was a little bit strange. As I remember they were fairly good at hitting the crossbar already. But yes, not letting him be the manager for the match in Naples was just petty and vindictive. We were coming up to a break and he deserved that.
How old is he now and what's he doing? Can't be arsed to look up Wikipedia and you all probably know better anyway.
