In his spare time Andy oven roasts live turkeys, which at this time of year makes him everyone’s friend except people from Turkey. Now hear this, now hear this, he has reffed well over 200 professional games, and only on six occasions has he not booked players. He booked eight in a game between Cardiff and Villa two years ago, no problems there, but he loves a card, it’s frightening. He sends players off far more than any other referee in the professional leagues, he has been the subject of many complaints by managers, fans and hits the headlines a lot with his decision making. Don’t think that those eight yellows at Cardiff are a one off, he regularly hits the five or six mark, and frighteningly seven. And as we have said he has only completed six games with no cards, from well over 200 GAMES, think about it. This guy has a way of changing games. This will be cardo’s fifth swans game he has been allocated. What will we get on Saturday ? Turkey rustler Andy Davies, frightening card stats What is a Barnsley ? Barnsley is a hedonistic town in the north of the north. It’s a regular haunting for the likes of ghosts and Darren Gob from Talk Sport. Dazza Gobba is from Monk Breton in Barnsley and we will come back to that later. He alleges that he was once offered a pro football contract by Rotherham United. So, now it’s later why Monk Breton ? simple, it’s where Garry Monk was born, when they slapped his arse in the delivery room they noticed he was wearing an expensive watch and his wife took it off him. Barnsley is famous for the amount of magic mushrooms that can be located over a specific acre of field in a secret area everyone knows about just outside the town. In 2011 the Barnsley chop was banned in the town, the chop is a piece of meat, a cut close to the spine of an animal. At this point the animal is dead, or nearly dead, sometimes it is very dead. The Barnsley chop isn’t banned in Monk Breton and Gawber. Gawber is now called that name because someone in the past decided that would be a good idea. The name remains. Barnsleh ! was the first English town to cater for people with no heads in the T-shirt game 92,000 people live in that Barnsley where the favourite pastime of locals aged forty and over is playing in brass bands. Only 1% of the population is Asian before you lot start, but it does have countless white people of British birth, I don’t know why I am going here, but why not ? it’s a fact. The town isn’t as multi cultural as Whitland or maybe Kenfif Hill, but who is caring ? Don’t start your nonsense on here or I’ll offer you out. Ok ? Thingy, you know the umpire bloke and Michael Parkinson who actually came round our house once are from Barnsley. That’s about it, only five people who live there are called Lee Barnes. This is Darren Gobs house in Barnsley, it’s got a lovely paint job. Tha knaws Football news may appear later. | Swansea City v Barnsley : Matchday Thread TEAM NEWS on 17:36 - Dec 19 by Fireboy2 | No matter where we are in the league or season there should have beem subs made after the second goal, there was no way we were going to lose so it was a perfect time to rest key players and give players who need time on the pitch gametime. There will come a time and I hope not when a key player will get an injury caused by playing too many minutes and I bet cooper will get pelters for playing said player too much. |
This. He has no clue how to manage a game. He sets us up hard to beat, coaches our defence impressively with a very good set piece coach, has access to cracking loan signings but his game management is non existent.

Some posters have become so entrenched in their negative ways they can’t bring themselves to recognise the good bits, ever. Simply not man enough to put their hands up and admit how very wrong they are, most of the time. |
Totally agree with this. Some of the name's hes been called are frankly insane. It's impossible for Cooper to have been lucky (which he'd have to be if he actually was 'clueless', 'a clown' or 'out of his depth') for this length of time that we've been getting good results under his management. He has drawbacks but I'm mature enough not let that shade his whole performance. Not making subs in games we win doesn't make him inept!

| Swansea City v Barnsley : Matchday Thread TEAM NEWS on 18:27 - Dec 19 with 881 views | Dr_Winston | Cooper has made us an organised, hard to beat Championship team without an awful lot of goals or flair in it. We're basically back in the 09/10 season again. There remain viable and reasonable long term concerns about his game management and the entertainment provided by his style of play, and it's important not to let those get lumped in with the kind of hysterical nonsense that some "contributors" feel the need to spout. If he had a player like Brewster available then perhaps we'd be more fun to watch right now. Be interesting to see what happens come the January window. | |

I still stand with we will not go up (automatic or play offs) w/o a striker in Jan, unless Mr Lowe become Henryesque in the second half of the season.

And there you have it scared to make the change, he would rather take the chance on his players well being. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

Let's be fair, the best that can be said about the game was that we won 3 points. We could hardly string 3 passes together, and I can't remember a shot from open play (other than the goal) It was an awful game played on an awful pitch, at least we can change the pitch.

It's a touch ironic that the worse our pitch has gotten this season the better the home form. Maybe we should keep the quagmire.

| Swansea City v Barnsley : Matchday Thread TEAM NEWS on 19:26 - Dec 19 with 768 views | jasper_T | We're doing better this season than last. Important to remember how dire we were for 6 months between September and March when lockdown saved us. We're managing to beat middling sides at the moment, not just the down and out bottom feeders as we were then. But entertainment is in short supply outside the derby. The pitch and tired-looking players hasn't helped. If we can stay functional and solid through the season we should finish top 8 as the Championship's a very poor standard this season again (understandably). Lot of top half sides struggling for any consistency due to injuries/fatigue etc. Not making some subs late on is obviously going to annoy supporters as the team looked absolutely shattered just the other day. 20 minutes less on the clock could do a few the world of good. Ayew's been a shadow of his best for a month of so, needs a break. | | | |

I never watched today’s game so can’t comment on the performance. However after watching us against Derby the one thing that struck me was our side looked absolutely knackered only 20 minutes in. The fact that he didn’t make any substitutions today indicates he has a core of players that he relies on and won’t test them until they are either injured or suspended. I can’t think of any other reasons but willing to be educated lol

I honestly cannot understand why someone who has had plenty of experience in coaching teams for a few years cannot see that he is over using alot of his players when laymen like myself can see it.

The championship is stronger this year, the three relegated teams all managed to keep most of their best playets from last season.

Both clubs in the season following relegation and both with squads full of Premier league players. Do you think those examples are really comparable to us?

Jasper, clearly you are one of the very posters on this forum and head n shoulders above anyone on rivalling forums, so just a few questions to understand where you are : - Cooper In or Out ? - If In - How should we change our set-up and personnel right now ? - If Out - Who would you like to see in charge ? Cheers, could be a good discussion.

And I suspect people who disagree with my opinion are all football managers then? Btw I've coached rugby teams for almost 15 years so I've got a good idea when players are tired and should be substituted, that's why I'm banging on about it.
