Let's be honest.
Looking at yet another abject display ,it was a nice thought but we all got caught up in the prospect but ,looking at that-it's rather sick.

Everyone of those players would have to be replaced ,for a start, apart from the manager.

Burnley are showing how it can be done on a small budget

Of course they can, being constant also rans in a half clapped out stadium with wooden seats, waiting for the season they go down with nothing to show for it. Oh the joys!

I can't argue with you about their stadium, the previous owners walked away with a lot of money( that rings a bell), but managed to keep them up as also rans.

If we do go up again, it's hard to see how we can be anything other than also rans.

You give it out, you take it back it`s all part of the game

We are good for the play offs as it stands, good enough for me, but if this was the end of the season tonight we would face the Leckwith hoof masters. That of course would mean we would make the final, but it is a lottery.,

OK I've changed it.

But, let's get there first, none of us are naive enough to think we wouldn't need a few new faces in, just like the last time

But,we all know the yank Feckers will not spend a cent on players.

Although I obviously hope we go up,I don't really care a toss if we don't since it will be a season of total humiliation with a squad of championship players and anyone we can loan who is not wanted elsewhere.

Yes I agree with the sentiment of that.

Would have to spend something though we have the loans to replace for a start.

But yes agree no point throwing silly money at it.

We could loan others to replace the loans. Like we did with Caulker and Siggy in our first season. Loans will always be an option.

We will spend some money. Contrary to belief, the owners have never refused to spend money when it's available. Spending every last penny we had and then some is what got us into the mess we've spent the last 2/3 years sorting out, a fact which continually evades those who cheerfully slag them off for not spending money. Maybe they'll work it out one day?

What people need to hope for is that they don't spend it all. Of course, we'll spend the season having to read the usual tedious "asset stripping" and "money grabbing Yank bastard" crap, but it'll be worth it in the long run.

I could almost hear the groans from some as the final whistle went and we got another 3 points.

Just for some perspective, that final whistle marked:-

- our 13th consecutive unbeaten game at home
- our 9th win during that 13 game unbeaten run
- our 3rd consecutive clean sheet and 17th of the season in 30 games
- our 7th league win in our last 10 games - losing only 1 of those 10 games.

People are so annoyed by our form and the fact we are in the automatic positions should we win our games in hand that they even moan after wins. Who knows when the next defeat will be and people are far too impatient to wait.

For shame.

Incredibly proud of the squad and the management team for all they have achieved so far. It has been the most enjoyable season for years, long may it continue.

Well said Dr - easy to get sucked into the poor style (at times) but we are at least 7/9 places higher up the league & 15 points better off than I expected back in September.

Morning readers.
First ,Im fine,really I am.
Having taken just a cursory glance at the replies ,I have to ay most a Chloroform in Print.
You are lying if you say you are enjoying this "football".

We were lucky v Forest and played the same last night. Lucky again as Coventry like Forest are dire in front of goal.Fact.

On Saturday,Hudds could and you can see what happens when we play a team that can finish moves. We played with little discernable improvement at all. Fact.

Brentford,Watford,Norwich all have a core of quality that might see them survive if they go up.We have none .No player right now would not be ripped to pieces in the Premier League. Fact.

Last night Woody, again, passed the ball either 3 yards to full backs who were put under immediate pressure or he simply found touch-better than Dan Biggar. And you love this?

He could have been beaten last night again whilst standing still on his line had not Coventry been so crap at finishing.

Cabango got us out of jail and Woody out of the shyte. He aint fair on the lad.

Negatives from last night.

Woody. Why is he seemingly in perma slow motion
Naughton.Surely no reason he should ever start.Joel now deserves his chance
Hoolie. Come on matey.Just come on.
AA.Just anonymous now.Been a great servant to us
Lowe.Gone backwards at a rate of knots but he is a trier but looks another player who could be ruined by Cooper by overworking him.

Positives

Hoolie gave the kit person one less shirt and shorts to wash

Steve looked like he managed to avoid getting soaked

Pitch held up to the Swansea climate.

Cabango proves just how twisted some of our fans are.

You have to look at matter from a neutral perspective. We are awful to watch. Commentators basically saying as much.

Meanwhile the much ridiculed northern dinasaur MM get another win with a hoof ball side and Franks gets his team back on track.

Have a nice day

Was a poor performance again agreed. My hope is that the posters who say this is a "dip" but still collectiing wins may be on to something.

Very harsh on Woodman and Naughton, I thought both had decent games especially Naughton.

I thought we looked a lot sharper when Hourihane went off if I'm being honest, pressed higher and won it in good positions. It's a tough one for Cooper because can we drop him when we struggle for goals?

Ayew and Lowe both without a goal in a long time now aswell, if it wasn't for Ayew's defending on set pieces I wouldn't know what he was on there for lately.

Great win under the circumstances but if we want top 2, we need to play better, I think we have run out of gas completely if I'm being honest.

PS - Shout out to Grimes, outstanding yesterday and was MOM by a country mile.

All those teams in those games all happened to be shite on the day in the games against the Swans? Did you watch the Watford game? The Norwich games? Or Brentford away?

How do you account for the team keeping pace (and potentially out pacing) these other giants we are still going toe to toe with deep into February then?

Can I add a positive or two to help you. 17 clean sheets in 30 games. Unbeaten at home in 13 now. Only 19 goals conceded all season by our team who are doing an awesome job in achieving these outstanding results during the most testing of times and helping to raise spirits of Swans fans all over the world during this pandemic.

Really. Cheer up. Positive things happen to positive people, but not always sadly.

All I can say to that is to refer you to a post or story that was on here recently which suggested we were doing far better than the stats said we should be.

Our goalscoring stats to start with, we were very efficient at one point. Against Rotherham recently we have 6 shots in total, 5 ontarget and scored 3 goals. 6 shots, 3 goals when Rotherham had 13 shots and scored one.
Right now we are struggling to score goals, that efficiency has ebbed away and that should probably be our biggest concern. Even when we have dominated games we weren't making as many scoring chances as other teams but we were very efficient.
We also do not look as solid defensively, we look more liable to concede.

Just my opinion, but WTF do I know anyway?

Was thinking about selection.

What about Hourihane behind Andre.

And a midfield 3 of Fulton Grimes and Smith.

Would that work worth a try maybe.

I’m well aware of the seriousness of mental health issues, having lost one brother in law because of his problems and seeing another close family member with ongoing serious problems. It’s tragic. And especially at the moment it’s a tough time for us all isn’t it.
