Personally I think what’s happened is a great shame. He was pretty much the model of a modern royal. Whatever expectations ‘the firm’ had for him he exceeded in every respect then he went and got himself caught in the headlights!
I feel sorry for him. I don’t think he’s having a happy time of it over there and I’d be surprised if it ends well. The novelty of schmoozing with the showbiz world must be wearing thin by now, despite the happy face he tries to turn to the world. Those aren’t his people, a big part of him must be missing his old mates, his old life. The kid’s a squaddie through-and-through.

Indeed. Would you consider yourself envious of that upbringing with absent father,dysfunctional mother apart from media circus.
I recognise he hasn’t always had it easy with his parents divorcing and his mother dying etc but you have also got to recognise that growing up with a team of nannies, butlers and security staff attending to your every whim whilst you bounce from palace to palace to a castle then back to a palace again does signify slight privilege.
For the record I think he’s turned out a lot better than most of them. I think Diana would be rightly proud of both her sons. He’s clearly infatuated with Meg which isn’t a bad thing and probably a trait he has inherited from both his parents and Prince Charles.
