| Biden on 22:27 - Jun 15 by Dr_Parnassus | I think what the OP is trying to say is that it’s interesting to have a period where every single word isn’t being scrutinised and twisted by social media and the media in general and is a far calmer climate as a result. Biden could make a speech and Trump could make a speech, both exactly the same. One would be a “encouraging speech full of hope” the other would be a “divisive, aggressive one full of hate”. Yet they would be exactly the same. Biden called Obama “the first smart and intelligent black man” or something to that effect and only last year we’re saying that the African American community aren’t diverse in thought while then going to Miami and playing Despacito on his phone - just embarrassing and patronising, if any of that had happened for a Republican there would be burning effigies of them and protests. The guy is a walking, talking idiot. But if that’s what makes people happy then that’s all good. |
Biden's actual comment about Obama was "I mean, you got the first mainstream African-American who is articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking guy. I mean, that's a storybook, man." Not quite as bad as your version but not far off. That second paragraph, sounds like utter nonsense to me, if politicians made exactly the same speech I reckon the second one would be called out on it and ridiculed for a verbatim repeat of an opposition politicians speech. The guy is a walking, talking idiot but just slightly less of one than Trump. There's not much in it and whoever said Biden is a gobshite, nah, that's Harris's role. Bidena dnTrump, both are still politicians, both tell lies, both were/are being manipulated by self interest groups and people with money, just like Bojo and Starmer over here. That's the world they live in and you don't survive there unless you play the game or are strong enough to dominate the game.

How is that not as bad as what I said? He reckoned Obama was the first mainstream black man that was articulate, smart and clean looking? That’s probably 10 times worse than what I said to be fair. I thought he was just commenting on his intellect from memory, not his appearance too. To say Obama was the first mainstream articulate black man is just shocking. Yet he gets a pass for that. As for the second paragraph, you have taken it literally. I don’t mean a speech repeated from another (although ironically that nearly ended Bidens career when he did that to Neil Kinnock)... I mean two people in identical situations in the same space of time. For example if Trump was re-elected and not Biden elected and Bidens speech became Trumps or vice versa, Not too dissimilar to when Trump visited Mount Rushmore as per tradition, it was reported as giving a “divisive speech in front of a monument of slave owners on stolen land”. Where as when Obama and Biden visited it was reported as them “visiting a spectacular and breath taking monument of our founding fathers”, again not verbatim but something along those lines. Biden won’t achieve a 10th of what the Trump administration did, even though he has the freedom to do so and make whatever errors he likes without reprieve. [Post edited 16 Jun 2021 9:12]

I am not "mocking it", I am mocking a system that allowed him to become President when it was obvious to most people he had it. They are calling for him to have cognivitive tests. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/ne

Well POTUS he is regardless of any claims of dementia and in 5 months he has ordered air strikes in Iran twice, https://www.reuters.com/world/ The Donald caused more problems within the USA than without! Whether that works out for better or worse time will tell. With Iran refusing inspections of it's nuclear facilities again, are we going to see more problems rising? Iran has a new hardline leader, is he looking to make a name?

"The Donald caused more problems within the USA than without Without an actual shred of evidence, other than mass media sound bytes pushing the anti trump propaganda. Without a shred of evidence? If I said nothing else there are the Capitol Hill riots which were a direct result of the language Trump used and on the day they happened he was inciting the crowd, urging them to march on the Capitol. You often cite "Trump syndrome" for those of us who criticise him well that is very true in reverse those of you who support him ca see no wrong. Bojo has caused a load of problems in this country and he's been nowhere near the levels of language Trump used. PS, of course Trump was a politician, when you take a job, even if you are rubbish at it, you are still doing that job. Trump went into politics so he was a politician.

You still don't get that the so called Capitol riots and "insurrection" was actually organised by the Democrats and FBI agents. They have been identified and the video analysis shows them inciting riot and enticing Trump supporters in to the Capitol building. They also show some police firing tear gas and rubber bullets at completely peaceful supporters. You won't believe it because it wasn't printed in the Gaurdian or any other rag that you read. Just like you have ever believed the Election was stolen. But the truth will out. Trump was ten times the President than Bojo is a prime minister. But this isn't about Trump or Bojo, it is about the waste of space that is currently in the Whitehouse. [Post edited 29 Jun 2021 20:07]

This is my new favourite of all your posts! The storming of the Capitol instigated up by the Democratics, covered up by the Republicans. The FBI, the police, the courts and the whole legal system, the left media, the centre media and right media. I’d love to here Dr. P’s take on this. Although we disagree on politics he does represent the sensible right.

Yes, I know it sounds far fetched, just as it is meant to. just like Russia Russia, which I am sure you also believed and has now been completely debunked even by the US media. You have no idea of the suppression of information that is going on in the US. Are you aware for instance that the 100 odd people arressted whether they went in the Capitol building or not have been in prison, without trial since they were arrested months ago. Most of them kept in solitary confinement like terrorists. Or that the first one has only just been brought to trial and she had to read books about how bad she had been and to decry what she did and denounce Trump or face many years in prison. Have you seen the video of the DC police opening the doors and holding them open to let people in? Those people were later arrested for trespass and insurrection? Are you also aware that the person who fingered Julian Astrange for his arrest on sex charges was put up to it by the FBI, which he has now admitted publicly? You just don't know what is going on over there.

Without a shred of evidence you say, and then you say that, ridiculous. I watched Trump on tv, I watched him incite the crowd to march on Capitol Hill. Among the arrested or caught on camera, Oth Keepers, Three percenters and Proud Boys. I watched the riots and didn't see any of the things you claim, I saw no police help the rioters though I did see police being attacked. Who did this video analysis? PS, you seem to think I'm left wing, try that one on Brynmill Jack and Builthy I read several rags from all across the political spectrum, yes the Guardian but also the Daily Mail and Express, the Independent, the WOL and news media from other countries too. Your last line, how can you judge Bidens Presidency so soon? That certainly is a derangement syndrome. We know what Trump did over 5 years, I'm not saying Biden will be any good but don't you think it's unfair to judge after 5 months?

Well I have never considered myself right wing, I keep getting told I am since the left went utterly insane. So I guess it’s a case of I’m either with them (the left) or I’m against them? If that’s the case then the right is where I must be. In truth my political view is simply a view of common sense. Dislike failed ideas being preached as viable ways forward (communism), I dislike cancel culture, I dislike modern social justice which tends to be an umbrella shield to attack the majority with, I dislike race baiting, I dislike dishonest framing of the truth and I dislike intolerance. All of the above seem to be synonymous with this new, modern left. So I’m absolutely against that if that answers your question?
