I want to see a young team free of loans and veterans led by Grimes. The whole principle of what Martin is trying to do is to have a playing style not dependent on stars such that the teams is much better than the sum of the parts.
This need patience and hard graft. It will come. It will however not come if the club has 3 transient loans and four 33 year old veterans. 7 of the super drilled squad will be out of the door and time to start again. Martin will be requesting more time aas a new batch of plyers come in, Liard needs to be replaced by a young up and coming player with pace. Set to keep his place for the next 3 seasons. |  |

Highly overrated by many, after an initial good start has been awful for months. |
I agree, he has not been that impressive last couple of months. But he is still leaps ahead of anyone at the club if we continue to play wing backs. I personally think he's just an average level Championship player. |  |

My post was in response to the one about Laird's form this season......
As you say Bournemouth may have made an offer which is more attractive to Utd and that is why he is being recalled but if we were doing better and LAird was performing well in an attacking side knocking at the door of promotion then maybe Utd would be happy for him to stay here?
Maybe also Utd have sussed Martin out after 1 and a half seasons? | |

Not a wingback for me. Got the engine but on the ball he's neat and tidy nothing more. The swashbuckling wide man role will probably never suit him. Still building back from his cruciate injury. | | | |

Swansea have 4 fullback Bidwell, Naughton Manning and McFadyan. Naughton and Williams lost from CB. Extra money for Bidwell to sign new deal. He has been very solid. | |
