| Swansea City v Middlesbrough 21/22 : Matchday Thread AFTERMATH 11:33 - Apr 19 with 8022 views | NotLoyal | It’s St George’s day when by all accounts a fictitious man killed a fictitious dragon. Let’s see how that goes. Chris Wilder ‘I couldn’t give a flying’ : Swans v Boro Latest ! 22nd Apr 2022 12:35Swansea City are on an impressive run of form and undefeated matches. Albeit the previous two games really should have been wins increasing the total points tally by four. That aside the swans go in to this game as confident as they have been all season, and determined to finish the season well. 1 Russell Martin’s dilemma with three games in a week for Swansea City 23rd Apr 2022 11:21There has to be a balancing act this week with three games coming up and Russell Martin wanting a big finish to the season. Set that against the supporters desire to see the likes of Cameron Congreve get more game time and there is a bit of a conundrum for the swans boss. 0 Swansea City: Andy Fisher; Ben Cabango, Kyle Naughton, Joel Latibeaudiere; Cyrus Christie, Flynn Downes, Matt Grimes (captain), Ryan Manning; Joel Piroe, Hannes Wolf; Michael Obafemi. Substitutes: Ben Hamer, Jay Fulton, Korey Smith, Olivier Ntcham, Kyle Joseph, Nathanael Ogbeta, Cameron Congreve. Middlesbrough: Luke Daniels, Anfernee Dijksteel, Marcus Tavernier, Jonny Howson (captain), Paddy McNair, Duncan Watmore, Sol Bamba, Marc Bola, Isaiah Jones, Josh Coburn, Riley McGree. Slow after the half time break. A gifted goal from passing to people who are outnumbered from a goal kick. Some decent attacking positions. Defence looked shaky when attacked on the break. | |

I'm sure I've said it before, he slows our play up because he is always looking for a better pass and won't make the obvious pass. As a result he comes under pressure and puts the whole defence in trouble, as he did today. There was a moment today where Obafemi made a good run and was crying out for the through ball, grimes looked, looked again turned sideways and passed backwards. Another time Piroe made a run and was calling for the pass, it didn't come. Yet after they scored we got instantly more urgent, played passes quickly and more direct, Oba made the run, the pass was played and we scored. Then we reverted to type.

It's all been said before. This is right in front of us The best thing for me this season is seeing Obefemi come of age although it's a shame it took so long. We have the talent to have made play offs.

I thought some of our play in the first was very good, albeit no end result, but our movement and 1 touch football was anything but boring.

Because sometimes teams will let us play where we can hurt them and when it matters at the business end of the pitch that's when teams make the pitch smaller and we nine times out ten go backwards again,so ye it is boring compared yo the likes of other footballing teams,I.e.liverpool who willplay football draw you in and then switch play with a 40 yard pass behind,we always want play the slow ball easy to defend, when we do quicken it up we can be good but it's rare

I think there has been an absolutely massive improvement over the last 6 weeks and it is our system clicking. We are still making terrible mistakes and they really shouldn't happen, even in this system. We need a keeper though. I am gutted that Wolfes shot didnt go in.

We could have scored four easily yesterday, particularly in the second half, so end product was there. So could they mind. A high scoring draw or 4-3 either way wouldn't have been a shock

| Swansea City v Middlesbrough 21/22 : Matchday Thread UPDATED WEDS on 10:58 - Apr 24 with 1004 views | RichardO | Goals in the team as shown by scoring 2 mins after their goal from a quick breakaway, if there is space for our players to attack play the ball into the space it doesn't all have to feet. Nice to have the perfect goals but causing chaos also leads to goals, High pass rate completion in great except when the uncompleted passes are in our third of the pitch, happier having the uncompleted passes in opposition final third | | | |

Quite right, hit the bar, had a few inches wide, a few goalmouth scrambles. Could have had 6 actually.
| Swansea Indepenent Poster Of The Year 2021. Dr P / Mart66 / Roathie / Parlay / E20/ Duffle was 2nd, but he is deluded and thinks in his little twisted brain that he won. Poor sod. We let him win this year, as he has cried for a whole year. His 14 usernames, bless his cotton socks.

| Swansea City v Middlesbrough 21/22 : Matchday Thread AFTERMATH on 14:02 - Apr 24 with 864 views | union_jack | Let’s not forget Fisher didn’t win a raffle in the crowd to play in goals. He’s a professional footballer so will make saves and have better games than others. But he is not good enough for Championship football. Martin said himself, he’s a goalkeeper first and foremost but confidence and ability (which are questionable) are no good without the proper physical attributes. Hell never have those unless he hasn’t stopped growing. It would give me great pleasure genuinely to be wrong but I fear I’m not. | |

Many posters on this site have an agenda and if they don't like a player nothing they do will ever be right. Fisher has been a big disappointment this season but yesterday he played well. IMO Piroe has been a star this season but yesterday he could and should have done much better. Praise and criticism should be given out equally. when its due.

You've got to be joking, the first half performance was a very good advert for painting the shed on a Saturday. I've just about had enough of this shyte, my ST is already bought for next season, but enough is enough.
