| Political correctness 15:29 - Aug 23 with 1562 views | trampie | Apparently a councillor who went down to Ogmore beach has been suspended for putting a photo on the net of a guy with a rifle with the sea behind him and a post about stopping a certain nationality from getting in the country. It seems like some political rivals have taken offence. | |

Doesn't need a gun being a member of Plaid speaks volumes.

| Political correctness on 22:41 - Aug 23 with 1260 views | majorraglan | It’s a tongue in cheek jokey tweet which wouldn't have been a problem years ago, but times have changed and it’s no longer acceptable to a lot of people. People who think the tweet is ok will no doubt call out those who’ve been offended as snowflakes / woke etc, meanwhile those who’ve the been offended will see it as racist xenophobic etc. There’s a lot of faux outrage and political point scoring but anyone with half a brain can see it’s meant as a joke. The guy is an idiot, he’s an elected official and should have known better. | | | |

Yeah it’s obviously tongue in cheek although there is a question mark over why he’s roaming around with a gun. The double standard of course is if he did exactly the same thing at Dover you’re probably looking at a hate crime charge.

It's not the tweet that's the problem, it's somebody in a public place carrying a gun!
